UFC fighters Colby Covington and Sean Strickland have offered their support to Donald Trump after the former US president survived an assassination attempt on Saturday.
Trump was speaking at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, when at least eight bullets rang out, leaving him bleeding from his ear.
And Covington called him “the toughest man on the face of the earth” after the heartbreaking incident.
“God bless him and his family at this time,” he added on X.
Strickland also said: “Trump is a complete savage… The man gets shot and continues to be like this for his people… A complete savage…”

Also, after his fight at Saturday’s UFC event, the fighter Evan Elder praised Trump.
“Hey, I heard they tried to beat up my friend Trump,” he said. “I’m glad that man is okay. Long live Trump. Come on, baby Trump 2024.”
His team later said he was “fine,” while the Secret Service confirmed the incident is being investigated as an attempted murder.
However, it has since been reported that Trump may have been hit by a piece of glass that flew off a teleprompter that shattered during the shooting.
At least eight bullets were fired in the incident.
Butler County District Attorney Richard Goldinger told reporters that the shooter is dead and that a bystander was also killed.
Covington is a staunch Trump supporter and visited him at the White House in 2018.
Covington, 36, and Strickland, 33, had previously made public their support for Trump.
Covington’s profile photo on X shows him with the former president, while he boasts in his bio on the website about being the first UFC champion invited to the White House.
Meanwhile, Strickland defended Trump in January after he was found guilty of committing 34 felonies in New York state.
“President Trump, you are the man, brother,” he said after beating Paulo Costa.
“It’s a real travesty what they’re doing to you. I’m going to make you a donation, my friend. Let’s do it.”
