UFC middleweight kingpin Israel Adesanya has revealed the reason behind his bizarre nickname for Mark Zuckerberg and why he won’t have sex before competing, just days after his UFC title fight 293.
‘The Last Stylebender’ returns to action against controversial rival Sean Strickland at UFC 293 in Sydney hoping to defend his crown for the sixth time.
Currently the fifth best fighter on the planet according to the UFC rankings, Adesanya has proven to be one of the best forwards to ever fight in the promotion.
On Wednesday morning, Adesanya revealed he abstained from sex before his fights – but that hasn’t always been the case.
“When I was younger, I didn’t care, because I had this vigour,” he said on The Kyle and Jackie O Show.

“But now, as I get older, I learn a lot about sperm retention, abstinence and all that kind of stuff.”
“I like to keep my life force to myself until I want to bless someone with it.”
The Nigerian-born New Zealander also opened up about his relationship with billionaire Meta Mark Zuckerberg, who trained for a high-profile cage fight with Elon Musk.
The billionaire duo are flirting with the possibility of a superfight that UFC President Dana White says would generate more than $1 billion in revenue, and Adesanya tips Zuckerberg to win.
“He’s a smart man,” Adesanya told radio hosts Fitzy and Wippa.
“Look what he did with his life. If he thinks about something, he can achieve it.
“And you saw when he took off his shirt – I was like what the fuck!”
When asked what Zuckerberg was like outside of training, Adesanya described him as a regular guy after going on a wakeboarding trip with the billionaire.

“He’s just a man. He’s just an ordinary guy. Even on the wakeboard he was shredding – I felt like he was the fucking king 007!’
Adesanya went on to say that he didn’t think the Billionaires fight would take shape because Musk didn’t really want to fight.
Meanwhile, Strickland is planning an upset this weekend against an opponent he doesn’t have much time for.
“He’s (Adesanya) just another big money guy trying to be a superstar,” Strickland said.
“He doesn’t care about me, doesn’t care about you, doesn’t care about the world.
“People care about the perception we give off. And the perception that Izzy gives off is that he’s a superstar.
” He is stuck. I’ve heard people inside the organization say, outside the organization, people like me because I’m authentic.
“I don’t wear a pearl necklace. I don’t drive a BMW. I don’t wear designer clothes. So people like me because I represent them.
“People don’t like Izzy because he thinks he’s better than everyone – the way he dresses, the way he talks, the way he acts.
“If Izzy could learn anything from me, it’s to get off a high horse, people will like you a little better.”
