Los Angeles Lakers star Christian Wood has been granted a temporary restraining order against his ex-girlfriend after he claimed she caused him emotional and mental distress and caused damage to his property.

The 28-year-old striker took his ex-girlfriend, Instagram model Yasmine Lopez, to court after claiming she broke into his house and abused one of his cars.

It claims that on February 23 of this year, Lopez and his friends scaled a fence at his California residence and then proceeded to scratch the hood and doors of his Mercedes-Benz.

Wood then says Lopez entered another vehicle of his, opened the front door of his home and began walking through his yard.

Neighbors saw what was happening and called the police, which led to Lopez’s arrest.

Wood has an eight-month-old son, Kobe Sean, with Lopez. He says police told him to pick up his son at Lopez’s friend’s house to avoid any involvement with child protective services.

But he says she did not hand over the child and began “making accusations against me and twisting facts to the media to gain favor.”

This is not the first incident in which Wood and Lopez have been involved.

Wood says that in August 2023, Lopez broke into his home, destroyed objects such as statues, glass and vases and attempted to hit him. Wood says they called the police and calmed the situation down.

In January 2023, when Wood was playing for the Dallas Mavericks, he says Lopez broke into his home and spray-painted his Lamborghini.

He believes she is using her public work schedule to stalk him, track his location, and vandalize his property. Wood also says she has had physical contact with him several times and has taken him away from her son.

Wood believes Lopez is harassing him by using his publicized work schedule to track his location and vandalize his property.

The conditions of the restraining order require that Lopez must be within 100 yards of Wood at all times, with the exceptions of “brief, peaceful contact” allowed for conversations about her son.

Wood says he damaged several cars, as well as statues, vases and other household items.

This restraining order also specifically tells Lopez “not to abuse” Wood, including harassing, attacking, hitting, threatening, or stalking him.

Under the conditions of the restraining order, Lopez also cannot possess a firearm while that order is active.

The restraining order expires March 20.
