Tyson Fury has confessed that he had not spoken to his wife Paris for three months before his revenge with Oleksandr Usyk this weekend.
The heavyweight champion has revealed he has not had any contact with his wife of 16 years or his children in the last three months and spoke about the “sacrifices” he has made.
Speaking about his training camp, the sports star told TNT Sports host Dev Sahni: “It’s been a long camp. I’ve been away from my wife and kids for three months, and I haven’t spoken to them in three months. Paris, not a single word.
And he added: “Yes, I have sacrificed a lot.”
However a relationship expert has explained the star has demonstrated the “strength of his association” with Paris as Anne-Sofie Koktved from Datingxperten.de argued that the time spent apart is not a negative sign at all.
He said it reflects a strong, supportive partnership and a valuable lesson for couples around the world.
Tyson Fury has confessed he hasn’t spoken to wife Paris for THREE MONTHS ahead of his fight with Oleksandr Usyk as relationship expert reveals what it really means
The heavyweight champion confessed that he has not had any contact with his wife of 16 years or his children in the last three months as he prepares for their rematch.
She explained: “Tyson Fury’s decision to distance himself from Paris is not about conflict but about maintaining the level of focus needed to perform at his best.”
“Preparing for such a high-risk fight requires mental discipline, and even the slightest distraction, including the everyday worries of parents, could throw you off balance.”
The expert continued: ‘What this really demonstrates is the strength of their partnership.
‘Paris understands and respects your process, and that level of trust is the foundation of a strong relationship. It is a lesson for all of us.
“Sometimes the healthiest thing you can do for your relationship is to give your partner the space they need to grow and succeed individually.”
Fury will face Usyk for the second time in seven months on Saturday night after losing to the Ukrainian on points in their first fight in May.
And there’s no doubt how seriously he’s taking the fight as he plots his revenge.
Anne added: ‘When partners can step back, leave space and still feel safe, it demonstrates a relationship based on trust, respect and mutual understanding.

Tyson and Paris have seven children together after welcoming Prince Rico to the clan in September last year.
They are also parents to Venezuela, 15, Prince John James, 13, Prince Tyson Fury II, eight, Valencia Amber, seven, Prince Adonic Amaziah, five, and Athena, three.
‘The Tyson and Paris Fury dynamic is something we could all learn by supporting your partner doesn’t always mean constant communication; “Sometimes it’s about knowing when to step back and let them focus.”
Tyson and Paris have seven children together after welcoming Prince Rich into the clan in September last year.
The couple has three daughters and four sons, and welcomed their eldest daughter and first daughter, Venezuela Fury, in 2009.
Prince John James followed in 2011, and his brother, Prince Tyson Fury II, arrived in 2016.
Valencia Amber was born in 2017, followed by Prince Adonic Amaziah in 2019 and Athena, who arrived in 2021.
Tyson’s extreme measures show how seriously he is taking his rematch with Usyk, the man who handed him his first professional defeat and stripped him of the WBC heavyweight title.
After months of intense training and a complete mental reset, he insists he is more focused and motivated than ever. However, he affirms that he will maintain the same fighting style.
“I need to be more focused this time and not show off so much,” he said. “One of the commentators said, ‘Has anyone ever seen Tyson Fury clown so much against even lower-level opposition?’ “That’s how easy it was for me and you can get complacent.”
However, he added: “I won’t change anything.” Why would he when he was in control of the fight for maybe 80 percent of it? I’m landing on him at will, head and body, with right hooks, left hooks, right hooks to the body, doubles at times.
‘I don’t need to change anything. I don’t think he can either, because he’s not going to outbox me on the back foot. You have to step up and fight.
