Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has spoken out about the pain of watching body camera footage of Tyreek Hill’s confrontation with Miami-Dade police.

The wide receiver was dragged from his car, pinned to the ground and handcuffed while… driving to the Dolphins’ season opener against the The Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday.

In the shocking footage, which emerged earlier this week, officers can be heard telling Hill to “stop crying” as the 30-year-old said: “Take me to jail… do what you have to do.”

On Tuesday, police said Hill was pulled over for allegedly driving 60 mph while not wearing a seat belt. He was fined a total of $308.

A few hours earlier, Tagovailoa revealed how it impacted him to see someone he knew go through such a terrible experience. “It was kind of emotional for me to hear Tyreek’s voice on the footage, just knowing Tyreek,” he said.

“A lot of the cases I see are people I don’t know… to have it happen to someone I knew, to hear Tyreek’s voice for all that time, it was a little emotional.”

The quarterback lamented how the arrest escalated, insisting: “There are a lot of things I think could have been done differently.”

He added: ‘I don’t think it was done the right way… I don’t know exactly how I would have dealt with it in that situation.

“I can’t speak to something I’ve never been through personally. I never went through any of that growing up in Hawaii. But he knows he has my support.”

On Monday night, the Dolphins described the body camera video as “maddening and heartbreaking.”

The team pledged to support Hill and called for “swift and forceful action” against officers found guilty of “overly aggressive,” “violent” and “despicable” behavior.

Over the weekend, Miami-Dade Police revealed that one officer has been placed on administrative duty pending an internal investigation.

Hill’s agent and teammate Jalen Ramsey have called for the officers involved to be fired for their treatment of the NFL star.

But former police officer turned conservative influencer Brandon Tatum criticized Hill for rolling up his window again after being pulled over.

“You rolled your window down and you rolled it back up. Why are you mad at them for speeding? Roll your window down,” Tatum said.
