Tyra Banks revealed she had her first alcoholic drink on her 50th birthday in December.
While celebrating the milestone with her family in Australia, the supermodel revealed that she “had an alcoholic drink for the first time.”

The Life-Size actress has been open about her sobriety over the years and once made a statement about her decision to abstain from alcohol.

Now, five months after celebrating the milestone birthday in Australia, the America’s Next Top Model creator said her life is “totally different” from what she thought turning 50 would be like when she was just a little girl.
“I’m exploding.” I’m not insecure about myself. I’m not tripping. I often say ‘Boy, (I’m) 50!’ before saying something. That statement gives me permission to say whatever I feel like saying,’ she mused.
As she’s gotten older, Banks says she’s found confidence and freedom to “do Zoom meetings without makeup.”

When asked what she thought other women approaching 50 should know, the Life-Size actress cautioned that hot flashes “are not the end of the world.”

Ultimately, Banks urged readers not to be “ashamed” of getting older because “we’re all going to go through it.”

The mother of one, who said she was wearing a wig for the photo shoot, noted that while her “fake hair doesn’t have gray in it,” her “real hair does.”
“I walk around town with my natural braids, with my gray edges tamed with a little baby hair juice, but not dye,” she insisted. ‘Today we celebrate women and we still have a long way to go, but we are getting to where we feel good and not ashamed of the changes and natural beauty that our body goes through.’
As for some misconceptions about aging, the former runway queen said turning 50 has allowed her to not hold her tongue or feel the need to “please everyone.”

He also noted that his mother “liked Vaseline” and “would rub it in her eyes.”
‘I was a Vaseline girl too. Now I’ve gotten better at other things, but every once in a while I drink Vaseline and think, maybe that’s why I don’t have wrinkles,” she said.
While remembering the beauty or style trends she regrets participating in, the model said she wishes she didn’t pluck her eyebrows to make them ‘so thin.’
“I look at those photos and think, ‘That was beautiful? We look crazy.’ So I regret that,’ she reflected.
