Two young children are missing in Louisiana after their mother was found brutally murdered in their Loranger home early Thursday morning.
State police have issued an urgent search for the two missing sisters, Jalie, 6, and Erin, 4, after they went missing. They are believed to have been kidnapped before 8am on Thursday.
Callie Brunett, 35, was reported missing for 24 hours and was eventually found dead in her home early Thursday morning.
Brunett was found brutally murdered in her home at 56044 N. Cooper Road. Her father found her lifeless body on the floor of her bedroom in her mobile home, police said.
Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office Chief Jimmy Travis called the scene an “obvious homicide” with “blood everywhere” and said there is reason to believe the children are currently in danger.

The chief said the children could be on the other side of the country right now, but they will use every resource to get them home.
‘This morning…the victim’s father discovered his body in the mobile home behind me. ‘His children, aged four and six, and his car are missing.’
‘This period of time is very crucial. “We need to find these kids,” the chief said.
“We can’t do anything for the victim,” Chief Travis said. “Our priority is to find these children and return them to their families.”
There are currently no suspects and the children’s whereabouts are unknown.

In the Amber Alert, detectives said they are looking for a white man for questioning about a domestic violence incident related to Brunett’s death.

Erin is described as approximately 3 feet tall and weighs 32 pounds, while Jalie is approximately 4 feet tall and weighs 58 pounds. Until now, it is unknown what they were wearing at the time of the kidnapping.
He is considered armed and dangerous, and the public is advised not to approach him.
