Just a few months earlier, Vinnie revealed that he is still talking to his late wife after her death at the age of 53.
The former footballer, 55, told the Daily star: ‘Every morning I get up, make my bed and have a chat with Tan about what I’m doing and how much I miss her. Even now it is day by day. ‘
He opened up to the publication about how he is still struggling immensely with losing his beloved partner – who died in their Los Angeles home.
Vinnie has since moved out of that house and now lives in a house near his golf club friends on Lake Toluca, adding that he leans on his friends for emotional support.

He said, “I see sanity as the pivot of a wheel, with many spokes. Each spoke represents a different kind of problem and mine just happens to be grief. I do it with the help of my friends.
“I went out with the boys this summer for a quiet vacation in Canada. We did a little fishing and talking. Some of them have had a lot to do with alcoholism, which is something I struggled with, and they gave me good advice. It was a nice environment to be in. ‘
In September, Vinnie revealed that he believes a white light he saw the night Tanya died was a message from her.
In his book, Lost Without You: Loving And Losing Tanya, Vinnie recalled witnessing a strange light hovering over his house and said he still struggles to explain it.
Good memories: In a natural and effortless photo uploaded by Vinnie, Tanya rocked another white dress and grinned from ear to ear
He said, ‘The night Tans died, we all sat out in the backyard … it was around midnight, a quiet, cloudy night, no moonlight.
One by one the people went in to go to bed, and I said I would be there later. I wanted to smoke and look at the darkness and be alone.
As I sat there, I saw a white light above me. I knew it couldn’t be a star because of the cloud cover, but there it was – a simple white light above me. ‘
Vinnie knew that when people lose someone they love, they can start looking for signs of them and insisted that he “never believed in things like that.”
Heartfelt: ‘Happy birthday to a beautiful girl [praying hand and heart emoji], ”he captioned the upload as his famous friends left all hearts on the post to show their support
However, he was sure the white light was real and also knew it wasn’t a star or a helicopter because it was too low.
He said, “I don’t know why, but in my grief and despair, I said to the light,” Is that you, honey? “
The light shone above me; it did not falter or change. Was it Tans? There was only one way to find out. I thought of all the times when she would say, “Where’s my kiss?” and I would throw her one to catch.
So that’s what I did out there in that dark garden – I threw one last kiss at the white light above me.
Suddenly the light swerved and went out and floated, and then it flew – zoom! – it flew and swerved and then it disappeared from me into that garden, leaving me alone again. ‘
Vinnie added that he has since checked and rechecked the weather forecast for that night, and it was cloudy in Los Angeles, with the sun not rising until noon the next day.
Vinnie and Tanya met in childhood before exchanging vows in 1994, with the actor admitting on Piers Morgan’s Life Stories that he will never remarry.
When asked if he could ever get married again, Vinnie said, ‘I think that’s an impossible question to answer, but if you asked me if I would get married again, it would be an impossibility, she wouldn’t want that .
“There won’t be another marriage muscle. I can tell you that. It was perfect and done for me. ‘
