Two teenagers aged 15 and 16 who triggered a police investigation when they ran away together are missing again – just four days after they were found
- Cash Bailey and Karla Pettit have been missing for the second time since April 1
- Their disappearance led to a nationwide investigation to find them
- They were found on March 27, but went missing again four days later
- Both are said to have ‘childish’ features, and links to Brighton, Peacehaven, Eastbourne, Bexhill and Hastings
A teenage Romeo and Juliet who walked away together just two weeks ago, which led to a nationwide police investigation to find them, were on the run again Tuesday, just four days after they were found.
Sussex police officers said they were concerned about the last disappearance of 15-year-old Karla Pettit and 16-year-old Cash Bailey, who were both last seen on April 1.
The pair, both of whom have “childish traits,” had just been found in their hometown of Eastbourne, East Sussex on March 27, after disappearing earlier this month.

Karla Pettit, 15, is missing for the second time along with Cash Bailey. The police request information about their whereabouts. Both are said to have “childish features.”
A Sussex police spokesman said on Tuesday, “Officers are looking for two missing teenagers from East Sussex.
Cash Bailey and Karla Pettit would be missing together. Cash, 16, was last seen on Wednesday, April 1 at 6:30 PM in Hastings. He said he traveled to Bexhill. Karla, who has lived in Bexhill, was also last seen on April 1 at approximately 9:00 PM.
Cash is of average build, 5ft 8ins long and with short brown hair. When last seen, he was wearing a gray Nike tracksuit, black trainers, a black jacket and a gray small backpack.
Karla, 15 years old, is slim to medium-sized, 5ft 5ins high and with shoulder-length black hair. She was last seen wearing black jeans with ripped knees, white Airforce sneakers, a black jacket, a gray zip hoody and a cropped top.
“The pair have links to Brighton, Peacehaven, Eastbourne, Bexhill and Hastings.”

When the pair went missing for the first time, calls to find them were posted online March 12, after Pettit disappeared March 6 and Bailey disappeared March 9.
