After information they had received during their preliminary investigation, the police discovered that two others had been with the teenager before they arrived.

They quickly found both individuals, a 16-year-old also in possession of a semi-automatic pistol, and 19-year-old Andrew Lee Stiffler, who were both in school grounds.
