Two teenagers have been lucky to escape after crashing their car into the famous Australian train The Ghan.
The accident occurred in Baroota, near Port Pirie in South Australia, where the two 17-year-olds were traveling in a Mazda 3 on the Augusta Highway on Wednesday afternoon.
The vehicle crossed the train tracks and crashed into the train, causing the vehicle to overturn.
Incredibly, the driver and passenger, both from Port Augusta, only suffered minor injuries despite the car being severely damaged and were transported to hospital where they are recovering.
The passengers and staff of The Ghan were unharmed and no injuries were reported.
