Two teenagers have been charged with the murder of Jahziah Coke, a 13-year-old girl who was stabbed.
The teenager was found with life-threatening injuries after police were called to a house on Lovett Avenue in Oldbury, five miles west of Birmingham city centre in the West Midlands, at around 4pm on August 29.
In a tribute issued through West Midlands Police, the 13-year-old’s mother said: ‘Jahziah was a very polite, kind and family-orientated young man.
“He was very loving and always smiling. His smile lit up the room. He was very kind.”
Paramedics attempted to treat his injuries at the scene but despite their efforts, they were unable to save him.

Police were called to the scene at around 4 p.m. Thursday. Two teenagers were arrested and later charged with murder.
Police arrested two teenagers, whose ages have not been released, on Sunday on suspicion of murder. The boys, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, have been charged.
A man in his forties who was also arrested by police has been charged with assisting an offender.
All three are expected to appear before Birmingham magistrates later today.
Police say they are not looking for anyone else in connection with Jahziah’s death.

Friends released blue balloons and set off blue and red flares outside the home, which was still within a police cordon, on Sunday night.
A picture shared on social media showed the friends had also written ‘RIP ZI’ with candles on the front lawn.
The family is receiving support from specialist officers and the officers are continuing to appeal for information in relation to the tragedy.
Detectives have carried out CCTV enquiries in the area but are still keen to hear from anyone who may have dashcam, doorbell, CCTV or phone footage that could assist with their investigation.
