Two teenage boys were arrested after the death of a father of three who was found in Bushland after using the dating app Grindr.

Peter Keeley’s arms and legs were tied with duct tape when his body was discovered near Bushland in Broulee, on the NSW South Coast, around 4:50 PM on February 2.

Police believe the 56-year-old arranged a meetup on Grindr before he drove two hours from Canberra to Batemans Bay that morning just north of Broulee.

An investigation into the death of the Canberra resident was started and detectives carried out three search warrant orders on Thursday at 6:00 am in houses in the Broulee area.

Two 17-year-old boys were arrested and taken to the Batemans Bay police station.

A post-mortem examination was not decisive but found that Mr Keeley sustained head and face injury.

Speaking in the media two days after Mr. Keeley’s body was found, NSW Homicide Squad Commander Danny Doherty said Grindr may have played a role in death.

“Upon arrival at Batemans Bay, we think this man may have used the dating app Grindr to meet another person before his body was found,” Inspector Inspector Doherty said.

According to Nine News, Mr. Keeley had been a “successful auctioneer.”

When his body was found, he was wearing a dark blue sleeveless fitted t-shirt, light blue jeans and white sneakers.
