Two Syrians and an Iraqi accused of beating and then gang raping an 18-year-old in Germany have been released on bail, sparking protests.
The men, aged between 18 and 21, were released after a judge ruled there was no risk of them escaping.
The men must regularly report to the police, continue to live with their parents and not approach the alleged victim, image reported.
The trio, who have no family or marriage relationship, all came to Germany with their families in 2015.
The alleged rape took place on Saturday in a residential area in Leer, where several refugee families settled after being allowed to stay in Germany.
According to police, the suspects lured the woman to an apartment building on the estate, where they beat and raped her several times.

Investigators described the alleged rape as a “spontaneous act” and said the victim did not know her attackers.
The attack is classified as ‘serious’ and, if convicted, the suspects face between two and 15 years in prison.
Police declined to provide further details at this time, citing the need to protect the victim, who is said to be struggling both mentally and physically.
Last year, a group of refugees was jailed for gang raping an 18-year-old girl after she drank her drink in an attack that sparked far-right protests against foreigners in Germany.
Ten men were sentenced in Freiburg court after attacking the teen outside a nightclub in 2018.
The prime suspect, named only as Majd H, was sentenced to five and a half years in prison, while seven others received between three and four years in prison.
Two others were given suspended sentences and one man was acquitted.
Eight of the men are refugees from Syria, the others are from Iraq, Afghanistan and Germany.
The court heard the victim, who was 18 at the time, had her drink spiked at a nightclub and then led to some nearby bushes where she was raped in an ordeal that lasted more than two hours.
The case, one in a series of high-profile sex crimes committed by immigrants in Germany, sparked a huge debate over the government’s liberal refugee policy.
