Buckingham Palace had no comment.

In recent years there have been several break-ins on the Palace grounds. Most notably, Jaswant Singh Chail in 2021, who stormed the grounds wearing a hood and mask and armed with a crossbow.

The Queen was at the castle at the time of the incident on December 25, along with Prince Charles, Camilla and other close family members, before her tribute to her late husband, the Duke of Edinburgh, was broadcast to the nation.

The then teenager was on a mission to “assassinate the Queen in revenge for the Amritsar massacre of 1919.”

In 2021, another trespasser, Daniel Brydges, scaled two fences to access the gardens of Buckingham Palace before being found “hunched over” behind a Land Rover near the gate of The Royal Mews.

He managed to avoid jail despite being caught trespassing twice in four days.
