Two Highway Patrol officers were rushed to hospital after being hit by a car that got out of hand.
Police stopped a car to conduct a roadside breath test on Hawkesbury Road near Springwood, west Sydney, at around 5:30 PM on Thursday evening.
A P-plater driving a Land Rover Discovery struck the officer’s car from behind shortly afterwards before rolling.
Both officers were taken to Nepean Hospital with bruises and suspected neck injuries.
The near miss comes just two weeks after four police officers were killed when a refrigerated chicken wagon ran into them after they ran over a fast-driving Porsche.
