Emergency services have rushed to the side of Elizabeth Street in Hyde Park in Sydney after a tree fell on two women.

Two people were crushed after a huge tree fell in Hyde Park in Sydney’s central business district.

Emergency services were called to the scene at around 3.05pm on Friday, where a fallen tree can be seen lying across the footpath and road on the Elizabeth Street side of the park.

Police officers found two injured women, aged 35 and 66.

Paramedics took one of the women to St Vincent’s Hospital with minor injuries.

Another woman is receiving treatment at the scene.
