Two MAJOR Saturday night TV shows are forced off air as the FA Cup quarter-final and Six Nations rugby take over BBC and ITV – for 15 hours!

Saturday TV programs on the BBC and ITV have been cleared for the afternoon and evening to allow sports fans to watch a total of 15 hours of sport.

And two hit shows will pay the price, allowing the FA Cup quarter-finals and the final matches of Six Nations rugby to be broadcast in prime time.

The hit TV show The Gladiators, which was due to air on Saturday night on BBC One, has now been replaced by Manchester City’s match against Newcastle United.

Football coverage begins at 17.10, and the match starts at 5.30pm, which means the match can be finished just in time for Michael McIntyre’s game show The Wheel.

However, if the match goes into penalty kicks, it could affect the entire schedule, meaning the show’s start time could change again.

Meanwhile, on ITV, there’s even more disruption as Six Nations rugby from 15.55 takes over and the teams have to face their last matches.

Six Nations rugby kicks off with Ireland vs Scotland at 16.45, before it goes straight into France vs England at 19.20, where all the action starts at 8 p.m.

The full day of sports coverage has resulted in a very sad day for the usual Saturday night TV fans as it means Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway and the 1% Club have both been switched off this week.

But sports fans couldn’t be more excited as they have a busy day lined up with the third rugby match on the final day of the Six Nations tournament airing early in the day on BBC One, with Italy taking on Wales.

Coverage of the tournament will begin at 1:45 p.m., with the match set to begin at 2:15 p.m.

So far, Ireland are the frontrunners to win the title, but England still have a chance if they beat France and secure a bonus point.

The busy sports timeline comes after Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway left viewers confused when the two hosts were forced to apologize after a guest swore live on air.

During the last episode, hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly surprised members of the audience by going to a live feed in their home – where a celebrity guest had to change things in their room.

Then the guest had to guess what was different in their room in a bid to win cash prizes.

But when Ant and Dec went to speak to a guest in the audience, the person was left shocked and appeared to exclaim: ‘Oh f**k! Oh, Jesus!’

Later on the evening show, Dec apologized for the mistake, saying: ‘Just a little apology – if you heard any language during that, we’re very sorry.’

Viewers were quick to comment on X – formerly Twitter – with many wondering whether or not the audience was actually swearing.

The episode also featured Lorraine Kelly taking a ride on a suitcase in a chaotic segment.

Daytime TV host, 64, starred in Ant and Dec famous I’m A Celebrity… Get Out Me Ear stunt where the duo burst into fits of laughter.

A first-look clip of the chaos aired during Thursday’s Lorraine showed the Scottish presenter take a tumble and fall to the floor in the middle of a John Lewis department store, with shop assistants looking on in shock.

The long-running segment sees Ant and Dec give celebrities an ear piece and secretly instruct them to act a fool in front of unwitting loved ones and members of the public.

During the shopping spree, the Geordie duo instructed: ‘Lean on the suitcase and then push yourself around on it and go, “look at this.”

But the stunt took a turn when she collapsed on the floor and burst into laughter as she was helped up by the sales assistant.
