Two passengers are arrested at Sydney airport during the police operation when the couple's vehicle is confiscated

Two people were arrested outside the Qantas terminal at Sydney Domestic Airport in a police operation.

Officers attended late Thursday afternoon after being called to a parking garage near the domestic terminal.

One person is in custody of the NSW police at Mascot, while the Australian federal police deal with the other.

A car from the parking garage is also confiscated for forensic investigation.

NSW Police told Daily Mail Australia that two people assisted in questions and that the operation was not considered terrorism related.
