Two And A Half Men star Conchata Ferrell has been released from the hospital.
She fell ill with a life-threatening kidney infection in December. Conchata felt “weak and brittle” – what turned out to be a kidney infection that spread through her body and “started to contaminate her blood,” according to TMZ.
The 76-year-old, best known for playing housekeeper Berta on the sitcom, was hospitalized in Charleston, West Virginia, with an extended stay in the ICU.

The actress spent the whole of December and part of January in the ICU while doctors tried to treat her.
Since then, she has moved to transitional care and convalescent home, after her stay in West Virginia for a family trip on Thanksgiving.
The publication reported that Conchata is now back in Los Angeles and has just started walking again.

She was bedridden and had physiotherapy several times a day with nurses.
There is still no news about how she contracted the infection, but her family was by her side with many relatives who even went on a trip to see her multiple times.
Conchata told TMZ that her husband, Arnie Anderson, “had arranged nothing in his life,” but there was when she needed him.
The star married Arnie in 1986. Together they are parents of a daughter, Samantha, 38, who was born in 1982.

Conchata is best known for playing Berta, the housekeeper in the CBS sitcom, Two And A Half Men.
She played in the show between 2003 and 2015 and received two Emmy nominations for Outstanding Supportive Actress in a Comedy series in 2005 and 2007.
Unfortunately, she lost both Doris Roberts (Everybody Loves Raymond) and Jaime Pressly (My Name is Earl) nominations.
Season one saw her in a recurring role before she was cast as a main character between season two and 12.
Conchata last played in The Ranch in five episodes as Shirley in 2017.
Before that, she played alongside lead, Ashton Kutcher, when he took over the lead role from Charlie Sheen in Two and a Half Men.
