<pre><pre>Twitter writes new rules if it can only enforce existing ones

Twitter suspended an account on Tuesday that delivered conspiracy-laden content after President Donald Trump had retweeted it earlier in the day, according to The Daily Beast.

The account, which operated under the display name "LYNN THOMAS", was allegedly suspended for violating Twitter's rules against "using multiple accounts to artificially amplify or disrupt conversations." It is the second account that the president has retweeted that Twitter has been suspended for violating regulations.

The tweet that Trump retweeted said in capitals: “DEMOCRATS ARE THE ONLY INTERFERENCE IN OUR ELECTIONS. WHY DO YOU THINK THAT IT CAN BE VERY STRONG? & # 39; It also contained a brightly colored image with the text: & # 39; Democrats are the real enemies of America! & # 39;

According to The Daily Beast, pushed the account together with Qanon conspiracy theories and memes. Other reports suggested that Democrats kill children for their & # 39; pineal glands & # 39; to steal.

This is the second account that Trump has retweeted that has since been suspended. Earlier this month, Trump retweeted content from an account posing as the verified Reagan Battalion account, which was later suspended by Twitter for violating the imitation policy.

In June, Twitter announced a new policy that would hide the tweets from influential accounts, such as Trump's, if they violated the platform's rules. If this is found to be inappropriate, the tweet will be grayed out and users should press the & # 39; View & # 39; before they can see the content. Even after tweeting racist comments about Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-MD) and non-white first-year congressmen, Twitter still has to apply the policy to Trump. The only action that has been taken against his feed is the suspension of the accounts he has retweeted, causing them to disappear from his page.
