Twitter is down AGAIN: app crashes for second time in a WEEK as thousands of frustrated users complain they can’t see photos or post links
Twitter has experienced technical difficulties for the second time in a week.
According to DownDetector, the problems started around 4:30 PM GMT on Monday and affected more than 4,000 users worldwide.
Frustrated users complained about not being able to see photos or post working links on the platform.
Twitter said in a statement that it was “a internal change that had some unintended consequences’ before the issue was announced was resolved.

According to DownDetector, the problems started around 4:30 PM GMT on Monday and have affected more than 4,000 users worldwide
DownDetector collects reports of outages from multiple sources, including social media and mobile apps.
Just over 4,000 reports were registered this afternoon, with 80 percent of people reporting issues with the website, 13 percent with the app, and 7 percent with the server connection.
According to NetBlocks, Twitter was experiencing international delays and outages that affected image and video content.
Those who accessed the platform on mobile and desktop saw blank images where photos should have been.
MailOnline tried to post a photo on Twitter and only saw an empty brown square in the post.
There were also problems placing working links to websites.
A Twitter user posted a photo with the comment, “Is Twitter down bro? This is literally all I see… sh*t won’t even load photos or videos, Elon stops screwing up the app.
Another said, “I’m just going to take the opportunity to post my nudes.”

The number of outages has increased since Musk started running Twitter, leading to speculation that there are not enough people to fix the problems
At 17:19 GMT, Twitter’s Support account addressed the issue in a statement: “Some parts of Twitter may not be working as expected at this time.
“We made an internal change that had some unintended consequences.
“We’re working on this now and will share an update when it’s resolved.”
About 45 minutes later it posted again, “Everything should be working normally now. Thank you for staying with us!’
MailOnline has reached out to Twitter for further comment, though there has been no response from the company’s communications department since Musk laid off his staff last fall.
On March 1, Twitter experienced a three-hour outage just days after Elon Musk laid off another 200 employees.
The outages have increased since Musk started running Twitter, leading to speculation that there are not enough people to fix the problems.
In February alone, the site had at least four widespread outages, compared to nine in all of 2022, according to NetBlocks.
Musk’s latest round of layoffs brought Twitter’s workforce down to under 2,000 — a sharp drop from 7,500 when the billionaire first took over in October.
On Sunday, Musk tweeted, “Hope you’re having a good Sunday. First day of the rest of your life.’
