A new trailer for the upcoming disaster movie Twisters was released on Sunday.
In the clip, Glen Powell, who was recently seen in the company of an influencer and a model, played a storm chaser who was forced to confront a particularly catastrophic tornado that was causing devastation throughout the Midwest.
The film also stars the likes of Daisy Edgar-Jones, Anthony Ramos and Kiernan Shipka.
The trailer begins with a team of meteorologists driving through a rainy tornado, and the team is forced to abandon their vehicle and take shelter after their vehicle is hit by flying debris.
Later, the team attends a storm chaser event, during which Tyler Owens, played by Powell, leads the crowd with his catchphrase: “If you can feel it, chase it!”

The group then launches hundreds of drones into the middle of an active tornado in an attempt to “destroy a tornado”, something that has never been done before.
However, the team faces the appearance of a particularly violent tornado that begins to unleash chaos.
A blogger traveling with Owens’ storm chasing team notices that the tornado is not alone and comments, ‘We have twins!’
Although Powell’s character encourages Cooper to “ride” his fears into a rodeo, the event is suddenly interrupted by the appearance of another tornado.
Later, Owens, Cooper and Ramos’ character is forced to take shelter in a large brick building as one of the violent tornadoes begins to destroy a Midwestern city.
The trailer ends after Powell’s character tries to grab one of her friends while she is sucked into one of the tornadoes.
Twisters serves as a standalone sequel to Twister, which was originally released in 1996, and although the project was originally conceived as a remake, Twisters was revealed to be a sequel to the original film in 2022.

Lee Isaac Chung, best known for his work on the 2020 drama film Minari, signed on as director of the project in December 2022.
The cast of the film is also completed by artists such as Brandon Perea, Sasha Lane and Daryl McCormack.
Physical production on the film began near Oklahoma City in May of last year, and after filming was suspended due to the start of the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike, filming resumed and wrapped in November.
Twisters is currently scheduled to be released to the public on July 19.
