A British woman who claimed she had been raped has been arrested for false charges against 12 Israeli teenagers who have now all been released.
In a dramatic development police in Ayia Napa, Cyprus, the seven men who are still held on suspicion of rape said they would be released today.
And officers have now confirmed that their prosecutor has been arrested for claiming a false rape.
The 19-year-old Brit, who is not mentioned, is expected to appear in court on Monday.
Police sources said she had withdrawn her statement after being interrogated further by detectives in the weekend following the DNA test investigation.
Doubts about her story began after one of the teenagers she identified as participating in the group rape could prove that he was in bed with his girlfriend who had taken a selfie.

Three of the men admitted having had sex with the British woman and said it was consensual. The others all denied rape.

Five of the 12 were released on Thursday without charge, when there was no DNA evidence to link them to the alleged sexual assault at the Pambos Napa hotel in Ayia Napa.
The woman had claimed that she had agreed to have sex with one of the men, but was detained by others and raped in the early hours of the morning.
A medical examination had shown scratches and bruises on her thighs.
All 12 suspects appeared shortly before a court in the city of Paralimni.
