The television producer claims that he was lured to an apartment in Collingwood in Melbourne, where he was reportedly tied up and beaten.
He appeared Channel 7 news on Tuesday evening with a big bruise on his neck and a nasty leg injury.
Under the name Ryan Nemenko, the convicted fraudster claimed that Williams threatened to kill his wife and children if he did not cough up $ 17,000.
Williams, who has not been accused of any violation with regard to the incident, is deemed to dispute that the attack even occurred.
Daily Mail Australia can reveal that Naumenko was imprisoned in 2017 after scamming Gumtree users out of thousands of dollars.
He was sentenced to six months' imprisonment and 18-month community promotion with 175 hours of community work.
The Sunraysia Daily reported that Naumenko was 33 when he pleaded guilty to 20 dishonesty-related crimes in March 2017 when confronted with the court of Mildura Magistrates.
It was reported that the & # 39; long history of the serial scammer of cheating people & # 39; was more than ten years old.
The court heard that Naumenko would accept money for the iphones of his victims, but never delivered the goods.
Public Prosecutor Senior police officer Al Heintze said that Naumenko told the police that he was being pressured to inform others about the victims but would not reveal who they were.

His lawyer Kieran Reynolds told the court that Naumenko claimed to collaborate with well-known Australian artists Dorstig Merc and Illy and tried to keep his head afloat after the failure of his music production company.
Naumenko had bragged online in 2010 that he & # 39; quickly became one of Australia's most popular talent management companies & # 39 ;.
A PR website states: & # 39; Ryan Naumenko, once associated with the wrong side of the law, has made a complete backward somersault and is fast becoming one of the & # 39; go to guys & # 39; from the Australian music industry when it comes to talent management & # 39 ;.
The 2010 PR article quotes Naumenko complaining about an earlier time he spent up to $ 80,000 on & # 39; talent & # 39; that had no talent.
& # 39; The artist in question did not have the dedication, the drive or the real talent to make it where we saw him, so both Victor (his father) and I decided it was time to terminate the contract (after 5 violations) and the losses, & he said.
Last year Naumenko moaned further in an online message that he was brutalized by an elite special operation group police during a raid on his Mildura house in a case of a wrong identity.
He claimed that the raid on & # 39; alleged & # 39; was bomb threats to various government services and was closely involved with Vladimir Putin and financed Russian organized crime & # 39 ;.
Carl Williams was married to Roberta Williams during the notorious gangland war in Melbourne. He was killed after being exposed as a prison officer
Naumenko stated that he has never been charged.
& # 39; I was and still am the victim of a corrupt police force, and those responsible for my now destroyed neck, my journey in mental health and my son's memories that will haunt him forever think they get away with it & # 39 ;, he wrote.
Williams, the widow of the killed gangster Carl Williams, reportedly met Naumenko three months ago via an Instagram account where she enlisted his help for her reality project as a producer and storyteller.
Naumenko claims that he was left battered and bruised by his run-in with Williams.
& # 39; I just thought I was dead, I thought this was it, & # 39; he said to 7NEWS.
He said his physical wounds were healed, but his mental scars remained.
& # 39; I had bruises everywhere, & # 39; he said.
& # 39; I also have (a) suspected broken jaw and cheekbone … it was just a lot of swelling.
& # 39; (Now) I just want to stay inside, I don't want to go anywhere. I don't wanna do anything. I don't want to talk to anyone. & # 39;
Roberta Williams lashes out at A Current Affair reporter Reid Butler during an interview in February
The producer said that during the alleged attack, he frantically sent his mother a text message and asked her for help.
He has now fled Melbourne from a rural town.
& # 39; I thought that night when I had to sit down when I had a gun on my head that it was, & # 39; he said.
Williams is said to have hired the producer to create a reality program based on her family.
In a promotional video on the GoFundMe site, Williams stated: & # 39; Wait to see the real me. Get to know me before you judge me. See the person I am and then judge me. Then I take your comments as criticism and I don't even complain. & # 39;
