A TV presenter has revealed he was rushed to hospital after collapsing at his GP’s surgery.

TalkTV star Peter Cardwell took to social media to share the news after starting to feel unwell over Christmas.

He gave an update on his health on Thursday after fans got in touch expressing concern.

He wrote on X: ‘Thank you to everyone who was in touch about my health. A bit of drama yesterday at the GP where I collapsed and was taken to A&E in an ambulance; many tests, drips, etc.

‘The doctors told me to rest for a week so I’m hoping to be back on air on Wednesday the 29th. Colleagues at NHS and @TalkTV have been great.’
