Former Hawaii Democratic Rep. Tulsi Gabbard announced she is joining the Republican Party on Tuesday night.
By taking the stage before thousands of people in Greensboro, Gabbard cemented her conversion from Democrat to Republican.
“It is because of my love for our country and specifically the leadership that President Trump has brought to transform the Republican Party that I am proud to stand here with you today and announce that I am joining the Republican Party.”
In 2022, he announced that he would leave the Democratic Party to become an Independent.
Regaining control of the microphone after Gabbard’s announcement, Trump said he was stunned by the announcement, which he didn’t know was coming.

Trump introduced Gabbard at the end of his nearly two-hour remarks in which he discussed Elon Musk’s rockets and suggested Kamala Harris was on drugs during his 60 Minutes interview, which he said was edited.
The former president called her a “woman that everyone loves” and who has “a lot of common sense.”
“Boy, you’re popular,” he told her in front of the crowd as he led her to the stage.
Gabbard claimed that the Democratic Party is now “completely unrecognizable.” He was a member for more than 20 years.
He ran for president as a Democrat in 2020 and ended up endorsing Joe Biden when he dropped out of the race.

The former congresswoman called Kamala Harris “anti-freedom” and “censorship” and criticized her recent foreign policy actions.
“Without even pretending to care about peace, as President Trump said, she has shamelessly embraced the endorsement of warmongers like Dick Cheney and Liz Cheney,” he added.
