Joe Biden’s supporters thought they had caught Eric Trump in an embarrassing mistake by confusing a crowd of his father’s supporters with those of the president.
But it turned out that the Twitter mob that came after Donald Trump’s middle son was comically wrong.
Eric Trump shared video of a crowd lining the streets of Manhattan on Tuesday that he said was supporting his father after his trial.

Within hours, the post was being mockingly retweeted and had ‘community notes’ attached declaring it was the wrong people.
The fight continued until Trump’s deputy communications director, Margo Martin, revealed that she was the one who filmed the video.
The video showed the intersection of Fifth Avenue and 56th Street, which is right next to Trump Tower.

Not everyone believed him, but more people began posting footage from different angles proving that Martin’s video was from a Trump crowd from Tuesday.

When they were proven wrong, the community notes disappeared and Sington, among others, deleted his mocking tweets.
