Trump wrote ‘to-do lists’ for his executive assistant on the back of classified documents discovered at Mar-a-Lago, explosive report claims

  • Aide Molly Michael discovered the index cards on documents bearing classified markings after an FBI search, ABC reports.
  • She called the office, who then came to pick them up
  • Michael followed Trump from the White House to Mar-a-Lago and resigned last year

Former President Donald Trump took recycling to a new level by writing notes to help Molly Michael on the back of cards containing classified marks, according to a new report.

The notes included “to-do” lists and other tasks for Michael, who served as Trump’s executive assistant at the White House and then followed him to Mar-a-Lago after leaving office.

The FBI failed to uncover the lists during an August 2022 raid on Trump’s private club in Florida, ABC News reported.

But Michael, returning to his work area after the raid, noticed the materials and alerted law enforcement.

According to ABC, which cited unidentified sources familiar with her statements, she told investigators that she sometimes received “requests or tasks” from Trump on the back of index cards.

She then found that they bore “visible classified markings” and contained documents used to brief Trump on calls with foreign leaders on foreign policy issues dating to his time in the White House.

Sources told the network that Michael found the cards under a storage drawer the day after the FBI raid. She alerted law enforcement and “helped transfer them to the FBI” that same day.

According to the report, when Trump overheard agents wanting to question Michael last year as part of his investigation into the documents, he told him “You don’t know anything about the boxes.”

Michael also testified about note cards before the House January 6 Committee.

She explained that they were known as “pocket cards” and were used to convey information to the president.

Trump denounced the investigation into classified documents, calling it a witch hunt.

Last week, he denounced an accusation against him that “the boss” told an aide to delete security footage at Mar-a-lago. Trump called it a “false” accusation.

The network identifies Michael as likely the person referred to as “Trump Employee 2” in the indictment filed by prosecutors.

The indictment describes the employee exchanging text messages with alleged co-conspirator Walt Nauta about boxes of equipment discovered in the club.

“I opened the door and found this…” Nauta wrote, with an image of boxes of documents and newspapers stacked on the floor. The photo contained “visible classified information redacted.”

“Oh no, oh no,” the employee replied, adding, “I’m sorry Potus has my phone.”

A Trump spokesperson blasted the “illegal leaks” and said the story lacked “proper context and relevant information,” and said Trump had done nothing wrong.

DailyMail.com has contacted Michael’s legal representatives for comment.

Trump was indicted in June along with two of his aides for alleged conspiracy to obstruct justice and possession of national security information.

He has pleaded not guilty and is contesting the charges in federal court in Florida.
