A Trump voter clashed with Michigan election staff after she refused to remove her MAGA hat.
Michelle Gregoire claims she was “assaulted” while trying to cast her vote in Battle Creek, in the battleground state, on Tuesday.
Voting booth staff said he had been asked to remove his “party or designation” in reference to the bright red hat.
Gregoire shared footage of part of the heated exchange, in which she is seen repeatedly trying to avoid the staff member to vote.
‘Let me cast my vote, sir, you can’t touch me. Don’t touch me like that again,’ he tells her.

The poll worker responds by repeating, “Take off your hat” while continuing to demand that he not touch her.
While waving his hand at the camera, the poll worker reaches for his ballot.
‘Hey!’ She screams, “This man refuses to let me cast my vote.”
‘This lady refuses to give up her party or designation,’ the worker responds.
Gregoire responds that his hat does not constitute support for a party or designation.
“Actually, I’m a registered libertarian, so fuck you,” she responds before heading to the polls and submitting her vote.
In footage taken outside the polling station, two men Gregoire identified as police officers can be heard informing him that they cannot arrest him because it would interfere with the administration of the election.
‘The report is being prepared immediately, there are notifications that are being made in the command when it comes to people in charge of electoral officials.
This poll worker told him he had to take off his hat because it contained party or delegate affiliation.
Gregoire repeatedly warned staff not to touch her “again,” before she could successfully cast her vote.
“We are not sweeping it under the rug, we are not ignoring it, but since it could further disrupt the electoral process, we cannot arrest him today,” says an officer.
“I think if he assaults people it would upset him, you know what I mean?” Gregoire answers.
Voters in Michigan are not allowed to wear anything related to the election or campaign when casting their ballot.
The mother later confirmed that she could vote. X’s page shows overwhelming support for Trump.
‘I voted! But, unfortunately, they denied me the sticker,” Gregoire wrote.
‘Don’t let them stop you, America. Fight against censorship. Fight against fascism. Fight against the State.’
Millions of Americans will head to the polls in what is shaping up to be one of the closest presidential elections in US history.
Voters will decide between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris, two candidates who have very different visions of America.
The polls could not be closer as an unprecedented campaign that saw two assassination attempts and the withdrawal of a candidate comes to an end.
