Donald Trump hosted a star-studded Mar-a-Lago party Thursday night with guests including attorney general candidate Matt Gaetz and Rocky Balboa himself, Sylvester Stallone.
The president-elect gave a speech at the America First Political Conference, which has brought together the stars of the conservative movement at his elegant Palm Beach, Florida, resort in recent days.
Stallone introduced Trump as a “mythical character” and said guests were in the presence of the “second George Washington.”
Trump then spoke directly to House Speaker Mike Johnsonand asked him to pass a bill that would allow him to begin his term early.
“Things are happening in our country that we have not seen in years,” he said, stating that the events were due to his electoral victory.
“Almost every day we break new records in the stock market.”
In addressing Johnson, he did note that his new majority was temporarily diminishing due to the number of members of Congress he was nominating for important positions.
‘I just like people in Congress, Mike, sorry!’
The president-elect also broke some news by announcing that South Dakota Governor Doug Burgum would lead the Department of the Interior.

Also there was Robert F. Kennedy, seen at Mar-a-Lago with his wife and actress Cheryl Hines, who apparently patched things up with the health and human services nominee after rumors of a ‘digital affair’ with journalist Olivia Nuzzi .
Kennedy exchanged pleasantries with Attorney General candidate Matt Gaetz and his wife Ginger, who is supporting her man as he faces resurfaced allegations of sexual misconduct.
Trump feted many of the people who attended the conference, including Kennedy.
‘Another great mind and a great guy who wants people to be healthy. The Democrats didn’t treat him well. I guess if you like health and you like people who live a long time, that’s great,’ he said of the former presidential candidate.
He also joked again about his new bromance with Elon Musk.
“I believe in high IQs and his is the highest possible. What a job he does. He likes this place, I can’t get him out of here! He likes this place,” Trump said.
He also celebrated his complete victory, which gives him unlimited power while Republicans control both houses of Congress.
“I didn’t win it, the people won it,” he said. “The great people of our country won the popular vote.”

Trump surprised Washington on Thursday by nominating Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as his secretary of Health and Human Services.
The latest appointment to a rapidly growing cabinet and a West Wing packed with loyalists new and old immediately sent shockwaves through the public health sector given Kennedy’s reputation as an anti-vaxxer has fueled conspiracy theories on a number of health-related topics.
Actress Cheryl Hines’ husband, 70, criticized processed foods, vowed to remove fluoride from public water systems and suggested COVID was designed to be “ethnically targeted.”

Kennedy had boosted Trump’s 2024 bid by suspending his independent presidential campaign the day after the Democratic National Convention concluded in August, telling his supporters to back the Republican in key states.
Kennedy later embraced Trump even more, telling his supporters across America to rally behind Trump, arguing that they had a vision to “Make America Healthy Again.”
“For too long, Americans have been crushed by the food industrial complex and pharmaceutical companies that have engaged in deception and misinformation when it comes to public health,” Trump said.
The controversial pick comes just a day after Trump surprised both Democrats and Republicans with his seemingly sudden selection of Matt Gaetz as US attorney general.
Gaetz, who resigned his seat as a Florida congressman hours after Wednesday’s announcement amid a turbulent House Ethics Committee investigation into allegations of sexual misconduct, illicit drug use and bribery.
He is a MAGA firebrand who has targeted House members of both parties and led the coup against former Republican House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, and Republican senators have publicly and privately expressed shock at the nomination.
