President Trump is fired and recruiting because he wants to rid the government of “never-trumps” and bring back assistants he feels most comfortable with.
The news broke on Thursday that former White House Communications Director Hope Hicks would return to the West Wing in the coming weeks, this time under Jared Kushner as counsel to the president.
Then Axios reported that John McEntee, the former “body man” of Trump who was canned after a gambling problem could not get a security clearance, is expected to take over the presidential personnel office.
More fires are also expected.
“Government officials tell Axios Trump feels surrounded by snakes and wants to clean up all unfaithful people,” Axios said.
According to Axios, the newly encouraged President Trump is trying to get rid of the “snakes” within the US government by hiring trusted assistants who have caused him problems in the past
Among those assistants is John McEntee, the former body man of President Trump, who was fired from the White House in March 2018 when the secret service investigated him for financial problems with gambling and his tax returns
President Trump also brings Hope Hicks (left) back into the lap, this time as a counselor to the president who works under Jared Kushner (right). Hicks left the administration in the aftermath of her friend Rob Porter who was fired for allegations of domestic violence by two former women
A week ago, Trump started cleaning the house of people who testified before the House commissions, which led to his removal.
He removed Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Vindman – and Vindman’s twin brother Yevgeny.
Both brothers worked for the National Security Council.
Trump also has E.U. Amb. Gordon Sondland, who also testified.
Sondland was a political donor to Trump before he was appointed to the position of the European Union.
Trump has been encouraged by the decision of the US Senate to acquit him on the two articles of deposition approved by the House in December.
Hicks and McEntee both left the White House in 2018 and were politically problematic workers for the president at that time.
Hicks was romantically involved with staff secretary Rob Porter, who was accused of abuse by both his ex-wives.
He was fired by the White House in early February 2018 after those allegations were reported by DailyMail.com.
Porter’s first wife Colbie Holderness told DailyMail.com that Porter suffocated her and slapped her face and gave her a black eye, of which there was photographic evidence. “It wasn’t hard enough to faint, but it was scary, humiliating and dehumanizing,” she said of the injury that Porter had inflicted on her.
Porter’s second wife Jennifer Willoughby told DailyMail.com that Porter had called her a bitch. On one occasion he grabbed her naked from the shower.
During the height of the scandal, Hicks had then helped Chief John Kelly make a statement in defense of Porter, a movement that “deeply frustrated” other members of staff, according to Vanity Fair, who saw Kelly’s defense of Porter badly. ‘It is unbelievable. Everyone is trying to figure out why Kelly is in charge to save him, “an assistant told the magazine.
Kelly described Porter as a “man of true integrity and honor” and a “trusted professional.”
McEntee was fired and removed from the White House in March 2018 with the Wall Street Journal report that the dismissal was due to the assistant with financial problems related to online gambling and his tax return. McEntee was investigated by the Secret Service for these problems when he was released, the Journal said.
DailyMail.com reported that McEntee also gambled in real life. Because he would spend time at the MGM National Harbor casino, located on the Potomac River from Washington, D.C., in Oxon Hill, Maryland.
McEntee blew $ 250,000 on roulette.
