Donald Trump faced yet another threat to his life when a man presenting fake VIP credentials was arrested after a shotgun, a high-capacity magazine and a loaded handgun were found in his vehicle.

Local authorities consider the incident to be “probably” a third assassination attempt against the former president.

Vem Miller, 49, was detained after he was stopped at a checkpoint near the former president’s rally in Coachella, California, on Saturday.

‘This incident did not affect the safety of former President Trump or those attending the event,’ the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office insisted in a statement about the incident.

But Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco said it was “probably” a third attempt on Trump’s life, according to the Southern California News Group.

Bianco, a known Trump supporter, told the outlet that Miller presented fake VIP and press passes at the checkpoint, which is what led to the search.

Miller, a Las Vegas resident and registered Republican, was found to be in illegal possession of firearms and ammunition when his black pickup truck was searched Saturday.

Miller posted his $10,000 bail and was released. He has a hearing date set for January 2.
