Donald Trump insists that the Secret Service was able to find out who brought cocaine into the White House, despite the agency’s closing the investigation last week unresolved.
The former president said that the United States Secret Service (USSS) is full of “smart” people and said that it is “impossible” that they have not found the culprit.
An agent found a bag containing less than a gram of cocaine in a cell phone lockbox cubicle in the West Wing on July 2, prompting a White House hazardous materials evacuation. The Secret Service launched an investigation to find out who brought the illicit drug to one of the most secure locations in the US.
USSS briefed Congress on Thursday and said it would close the investigation even though it did not find out who brought cocaine to the facility.
Donald Trump insisted that the Secret Service knows who brought cocaine into the White House even though the agency closed its investigation into the matter just 11 days after the incident without finding a culprit.

Biden’s critics immediately drew their own conclusions, claiming President Biden’s recovering addict son Hunter (left) is to blame for bringing the illicit drug into the White House.
“You know, I’ve gotten to know the Secret Service very well, and I can’t speak more highly of the people, they’re amazing people,” Trump told Fox News host Maria Bartiromo in an interview that aired Sunday.
“And I think they know everything,” he insisted. They are very intelligent and very good at what they do.
“I don’t think it’s possible to leave bags of cocaine in a certain area, next to the Situation Room, I’m not talking about, you know, five blocks away. The Situation Room: where you decide on war, where you decide on nuclear power…
Joe Biden’s critics immediately drew their own conclusions, alleging that the president’s recovering addict son Hunter, 52, was responsible for the drugs.
USSS told lawmakers they narrowed the list of suspects to about 500 people and said it would be too difficult and a waste of resources to find the culprit, so they would shut down the investigation for “lack of evidence” in a stunning move just 11 days later. that the drugs were abandoned in a locker in the west wing.
Furious Republicans called the shutdown of the investigation “ludicrous” and accused the Biden administration of a “cover-up” as agents were unable to find a suspect despite poring over surveillance footage for more than a week.
“The FBI has tremendous credibility issues, the Department of Justice is armed like I’ve never seen it before,” Trump said in an interview broadcast on Fox’s Sunday Morning Futures.
“I mean, they chase me in boxes and they can’t find drugs,” he lamented, linking his classified documents case to the latest White House scandal.
“Do you know how many cameras they have in front of the front door of the Situation Room where these drugs were?” she questioned. They know who it was, they know the person. It is impossible, how is it possible that they do not know the person?
Republican Rep. Tim Burchett said agents “just decided he’s just a weekend visitor” and called the entire investigation “another cover-up” by the Biden White House.
“It’s false,” added the Tennessee congressman. It’s the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever seen in my life.
Trump agrees and claims that Biden is corrupt.
“The last few weeks I have been very unpleasant, very harsh and very honest. He is a corrupt man, he is a corrupt president, he is grossly incompetent.

‘I can’t speak more highly of [Secret Service]’ Trump told Fox News host Maria Bartiromo in an interview that aired on Sunday. And I think they know everything. They are very intelligent and very good at what they do.

The location where the cocaine was found changed three times before USSS briefed Congress on Thursday and said the list of suspects was narrowed down to about 500 people.
Democrats said drug testing all of the more than 500 possible culprits would violate their “civil liberties” and insisted the cocaine was found in an area used by guests, not Biden family members or people with authorization from security.
Trump said that only people with “strong passes” and family members of White House staff with offices are allowed through the doors where the safe deposit boxes are located.
Since July 2, the Secret Service has been analyzing surveillance footage from cameras located throughout the White House, but has yet to find the culprit.
Meanwhile, Biden was able to avoid the latest scandal by escaping to Europe to meet with foreign leaders.
No fingerprints or other DNA were found on the container containing the cocaine, according to the Secret Service. And there was less than a gram of the illicit drug in the dime-sized zip-top bag.
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene said Secret Service officials told lawmakers during Thursday’s briefing that they narrowed the list of suspected culprits to about 500 people.
“Have you tried the drugs on this list of 500 potential suspects who brought an illegal substance, the drug cocaine, into the White House?” Greene told reporters after the briefing. “Their answer was no, and that they are not willing to do it.”
With no direct response from the USSS or the Biden administration on the cocaine discovery with almost two weeks to investigate the matter, members of Congress demanded briefings.
Trump-era CBP director and longtime FBI agent Mark Morgan told DailyMail.com last week that the case is “simple” and could be solved in a matter of 30 minutes.
Morgan and Rep. Burchett separately noted that there are cameras everywhere with facial recognition technology that could provide answers about who brought the cocaine into the White House.
Republican members of Congress are unlikely to be happy with the USSS closing the investigation without finding out who is responsible for bringing the illicit drugs to the West Wing.
“I just got out of the most ridiculous meeting of all time with the Secret Service about the cocaine that was found in the White House,” Rep. Burchett said in a video he recorded walking through Congress after Thursday’s briefing.
“It turns out they don’t know who did it,” he said. The investigation will end at the end of the week and they won’t find out who did it. And that’s basically it.
“Another cover-up,” added the legislator. ‘You know, it’s the most secure building in the entire world… No one, not even the press, gets in there without them knowing.’
He called the result a “bad look at the Secret Service and a horrible look at this White House.”
The substance was found on Sunday, July 2, prompting a hazardous materials evacuation from the White House while President Joe Biden and his family were at Camp David over the long holiday weekend.
Now, 14 days after the discovery, Congress is no closer to knowing how the drug got to one of the most secure locations in the US, and the USSS does not plan to provide any definitive answers.
House Committee on Oversight and Reform Chairman James Comer wrote to Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle last week to request a briefing before July 14, which took place on Thursday morning. .
Senator Tom Cotton of Arkansas also called for a briefing and lobbied Cheatle for information in a public letter. The senator’s office, when contacted by DailyMail.com, said they have yet to receive a response from Cheatle.
The location of the cocaine discovery changed three times since its discovery: first in the library, then in a west wing work area, and finally in a cell phone safe deposit box.
For nearly two weeks, from the discovery to the briefing, officials gave no indication of who was responsible for bringing the illicit drug to the facility, and the Biden administration continued to ignore questions about the matter.
Biden’s critics, however, drew their own conclusion, claiming that Hunter is at fault for bringing cocaine into the White House.
Secret Service and administration officials have kept quiet about the details of the discovery, only feeding trolls who want to link the incident to Hunter Biden.
A full USSS statement was released Thursday after the briefing that gave a detailed summary of what the agency did to investigate the matter.
But he concluded by saying that he would close the investigation without finding who brought the cocaine to the White House.
“No surveillance video footage was found to provide investigative leads or any other means for investigators to identify who may have deposited the substance found in this area,” the statement states.
“Without physical evidence, the investigation will not be able to pinpoint a person of interest out of the hundreds of people who passed through the lobby where the cocaine was discovered.”
The statement concluded with: “At this time, the Secret Service investigation is closed due to a lack of physical evidence.”
Republicans and other critics are likely to call BS on this.
Several former officials familiar with where the cocaine was found say there are cameras, visitor book records and security at all times in the West Wing where the cocaine was left.
The evidence, Morgan told DailyMail.com last week, would be absolutely available to identify the culprit in a priority case like this.
