Donald Trump will meet with President Joe Biden at the White House in what could be one of the most tense meetings in the history of the Oval Office.

Melania Trump will skip the traditional visit after her husband’s defeat of Kamala Harris in the general election.

Trump will also hold talks on Capitol Hill on a big day for Republicans, who will vote for their new Senate leader to replace Mitch McConnell and inch closer to having a majority in the House.

The president-elect heads to Washington, DC, after sending shockwaves through the establishment with a series of Cabinet picks on Tuesday, which included Fox News host Pete Hegseth as Defense Secretary and Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy as heads of the Office of Government Efficiency.

Kamala Harris donated $500,000 to MSNBC host’s nonprofit ahead of fawning network interview

Vice President Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign delivered $500,000 in donations to Al Sharpton’s nonprofit, just before a glowing interview with the candidate on MSNBC.

Harris’ campaign made two $250,000 payments to National Action Network on Sept. 5 and Oct. 1, according to campaign finance records first reported by the Washington Free Beacon and confirmed by DailyMail.com.

Sharpton publicly endorsed Harris after Biden endorsed her to succeed him in his re-election campaign. After Sharpton’s organization received donations from Harris, he landed a coveted interview with her just two weeks before the election.

Harris appeared on Sharpton’s MSNBC Politics Nation show on Oct. 20, broadcast exclusively on the cable network.

‘Donald Trump should never again stand behind the seal of the president of the United States, he has not earned that right. And that’s why he’s going to lose,” Harris said.

Donald Trump is ‘eyeing firebrand lawyer Alina Habba for White House press secretary’

Donald Trump is reportedly considering hiring his lawyer Alina Habba to be his chief spokesperson once he takes office in January.

DailyMail.com has learned that Habba, 40, will fly to Palm Beach in Florida on Tuesday night and is expected to have a conversation with the president-elect this week about a possible role in his administration.

She could be asked to join Trump as White House press secretary, a high-profile job that requires facing members of the media daily and being the “face” of the administration.

Known as the attack dog of his campaign, Habba was often seen at Trump rallies urging his supporters to defend themselves against liberals and vote for him for a second term.

Karine Jean-Pierre is asked if Biden and Harris felt “uncomfortable” at the first lunch since the election, and the reaction says it all.

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was asked Tuesday if President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris’ post-election lunch at the White House was “awkward.”

Harris returned to the White House complex on Tuesday for the first time since her painful election loss a week ago to former President Donald Trump.

Attendees stood on the steps of the Eisenhower Executive Office Building to catch a glimpse of the now-former Democratic candidate, who told them to keep the faith before approaching to have lunch with Biden.

‘I don’t even understand it. Why would it be uncomfortable? Why would it be uncomfortable? Jean-Pierre responded to Fox News’ Peter Doocy. ‘Why would you characterize it as uncomfortable? They have regular lunches. They meet and talk regularly.’

Jean-Pierre then noted Biden and Harris’ joint appearance on Monday to commemorate Veterans Day at Arlington National Cemetery.

Trump and Biden prepare for showdown as president-elect triumphantly returns to the White House

One of the most tense meetings in White House history will likely take place Wednesday in the Oval Office.

President Joe Biden, who defeated Donald Trump four years ago, will host Trump, the man he always believed he could beat in a rematch.

For Trump, it will be a big return to the place from which he was defeated four years ago by the man who now sits at the Resolute Desk, the same desk Trump used four years ago.

Both men have made it clear that they do not like the other. And neither of them has hesitated to criticize the other.

Biden called Trump a threat to democracy, suggested he be locked up and referred to his supporters as “trash.” Before dropping out of the race in July, he hoped to defeat Trump for four more years in the White House.

Trump has questioned Biden’s mental health, threatened to lock up his son Hunter and prosecute any Democrat he considers an enemy.

“We want this to go well,” White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said Tuesday.

Special counsel Jack Smith plans to resign before Donald Trump enters the White House, a report claims.

The federal prosecutor’s two cases against the president-elect are nearing closure.

Sources close to Smith told the New York Times that he wants to finish his job and avoid being fired “two seconds” after Trump takes the oath of office.

The two complex investigations into Trump have cost the taxpayer around $50 million.

Who are those chosen for Donald Trump’s cabinet? Meet the confidants and advisors heading to the White House

Donald Trump’s second term as president is being shaped by the loyal allies who have supported him during his four years outside the White House.

As the clock ticks toward his inauguration on Jan. 20, all eyes will be on Mar-a-Lago as Republicans fight for a Cabinet position or a top position in the West Wing.

And those are filling up quickly. In the past two days, nine potential candidates for senior Cabinet or West Wing positions have emerged and a handful of contenders have emerged for other vital posts.

Tuesday night saw a flurry of picks, including Fox News host Pete Hegseth as Secretary of Defense, Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy as heads of the “Department of Government Efficiency,” and John Ratcliffe as Director of the CIA.

DailyMail.com breaks down who the president-elect has chosen so far and who is almost certain to take his place.

Donald Trump reveals John Ratcliffe as his choice for CIA director in latest cabinet move

President-elect Donald Trump announced that his former Director of National Intelligence, John Ratcliffe, is his choice to lead the CIA, citing his credentials in fighting the “hoax Russian collusion” narrative.

Trump announced the latest loyalist pick for his rapidly growing Cabinet, which had been proposed, with a statement on the day he announced he was naming former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee as the U.S. ambassador to Israel.

Once again, Trump used language that suggests it was already a done deal, although the newly Republican Senate will have to confirm the pick.

“I am pleased to announce that former Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe will serve as Director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA),” Trump said.

‘From exposing bogus Russian collusion as a Clinton campaign operation, to detecting the FBI’s abuse of civil liberties in the FISA Court, John Ratcliffe has always been a warrior for truth and honesty with the American public. When 51 intelligence officials lied about Hunter Biden’s laptop, there was one, John Ratcliffe, who was telling the truth to the American people.

Trump sparks a liberal meltdown when he turns to Elon Musk to “dismantle” the American bureaucracy and nominates Fox News host Pete Hegseth to lead the Department of Defense.

Donald Trump sparked a liberal crisis Tuesday night by telling Elon Musk to cut billions in government waste and naming anti-woke Fox News host Pete Hegseth as Secretary of Defense.

Announcing the new addition to his rapidly filling administration, Trump said Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy will “dismantle” the $6.5 trillion federal government by co-leading the “Manhattan Project of our time,” called the Department of Government Efficiency or DOGE.

“The Office of Government Efficiency is off to a great start with divided leadership: two people to do the job of one,” Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren said sarcastically. “Yeah, this looks REALLY efficient.”

Another account added: “Haha, we’re all going to die, right? Cool, cool, cool.”

Musk jumped on X to commit to eliminating hundreds of federal government agencies. He and Trump hope to recapture the spirit of J. Robert Oppenheimer’s Manhattan Project, in which the first nuclear weapons were developed in just three years, between 1942 and 1945.

That effort resulted in the atomic bombs that the United States dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki in Japan, ending World War II.

Exclusive:Melania Trump snubs Jill Biden: First Lady takes revealing first step by skipping traditional White House meeting

Melania and Jill have yet to speak following Kamala Harris’ humiliating defeat, despite their husbands having a cordial phone call, sources confirm.

‘Lady. “Trump is not going and they have not spoken,” a source with knowledge of the first ladies told DailyMail.com about Wednesday’s presidential meeting.
