Trump is holding & # 39; EPIC rally & # 39; during the night of the White House correspondents' dinner in Wisconsin – the state that sealed Hillary's fate in 2016

  • President Trump's 2020 campaign has announced that a demonstration will take place on April 27 in Green Bay, Wisconsin
  • The rally will be held on the same evening as the dinner of the White House Correspondents
  • Trump announced earlier this month that he would skip the third consecutive WHCD since he took office in 2017
  • Trump said the annual dinner is negative, and wants to have a positive event instead

President Donald Trump will hold a demonstration in Green Bay, Wisconsin instead of attending the White House dinner.

"This will be an EPIC rally in Green Bay Wisconsin on April 27!" Trump's 2020 campaign leader, Brad Parscale, tweeted Tuesday. "We'll broadcast it live so millions can see @realDonaldTrump instead of the boring WHCD. This dinner is almost worse than the endless, self-serving award shows of Hollywood. & # 39;

Trump said he expects a & # 39; large crowd & # 39; will be at the rally.

"I'll be in Green Bay, Wisconsin at the Resch Center on Saturday, April 27," Trump tweeted. "Large crowd expected!"

Trump was not present at the WHCD in 2018, where comedian Michelle Wolf was the invited speaker, and said the event was a & # 39; total disaster and a shame & # 39; was what the evidence was that the WHCD & # 39; DEAD & # 39; is.

He also did not go to dinner in 2017, just a few months after he was inaugurated, and instead held a meeting in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

The president announced on April 5 that he would skip for the third time in a row – the & # 39; boring and so negative & # 39; annual dinner.

& # 39; The food is so boring and so negative & # 39 ;, Trump told the White House DailyMail.com before he left for California earlier this month. & # 39; We're going to have a very positive rally. & # 39;

At the time of the announcement, Trump did not say where the rally would be held.

"President Trump will host a Make America Great Again demonstration on Saturday, April 27 at 7 p.m. at the Resch Center in Green Bay, WI." The Trump campaign sent an announcement to supporters. "This is the eighteenth demonstration that President Trump has held in Wisconsin and the third rally in Green Bay since he first started his race for president in June 2015."

Wisconsin is an essential swing state with 10 electoral college votes, which leans Democrats, but in 2016 voted for Trump with 57.2 percent of the vote. In the last presidential election, Wisconsin was the state that closed the death of Hillary Clinton against Trump.

"President Trump is looking forward to sharing the success of his administration with the large population of Wisconsin," said Michael Glassner, Chief Operating Officer of Donald J. Trump for President, Inc.

"Under the leadership of President Trump, payrolls are now growing twice as fast for people in the lower half of the income spectrum. Unemployment has reached a low point and the US-Mexico-Canada trade agreement will open Canadian dairy markets to farmers throughout Wisconsin."
