A senior Democratic National Committee figure and MSNBC contributor called CPAC a “gathering of sexual predators” and denounced former President Donald Trump as a ‘serial rapist’.
Lindy Li, the women’s co-chair and Mid-Atlantic regional chair at the DNC, made the remarks at the Conservative Political Action Conference recap Saturday.
Speaking to host Yasmin Vossoughian, Li began the segment fighting back against what she saw as conservatives like Nikki Haley, a 2024 presidential candidate, who called Democrats “awake.”
“Let’s be clear what anti-wake means. It’s anti-black,” said Li, who was part of the Asian-American outreach team for President Joe Biden’s 2020 campaign.
“And I think people are very reluctant to say it, but I don’t mince words, and that’s the truth. That’s their way of, you know, sounding the dog whistle without being overly explicit,” she added.
Lindy Li, a senior Democratic National Committee figure and MSNBC contributor, called CPAC a “gathering of sexual predators” and called former President Donald Trump a “serial rapist.”
Li also called Haley, the former ambassador to the United Nations and governor of South Carolina, “shrink-worthy” and a “total sellout.”
She then went after what she believed were the mistakes of Republicans speaking at the annual conservative conference.
Li then gave her summary of the annual event organized by the ACU.
“Let’s also not ignore the fact that CPAC has become a gathering of sexual predators. Let’s face it,” Li said, referring to the investigation into Rep. Matt Gaetz — which led to no charges — and allegations of inappropriate behavior by Rep. Jim Jordan and organizer Matt Schlapp.
She then went on to rant, referring to Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene as an “adulterous woman” and complaining that Rep. Lauren Boebert “brags about wearing a Glock.”
Finally she said, “Tonight we have Trump, a serial rapist.”
After spending about four seconds in stunned silence, Vossoughian collected her thoughts and pointed out that “they’ve all been allegations so far,” as none of the allegations have been proven.
“It’s important to be there, we understand the allegations that have been made against, of course, the former president, Lindy. And of course I also understand your passion for this subject. But of course I want to be clear that that – none of that has come true so far.’

In a tweet after the performance, she made even more accusations.
CPAC speaker Lauren Boebert prayed twice for Biden to die; CPAC speaker Matt Gaetz trafficked girls; CPAC speaker Jim Jordan hid sex crimes; CPAC speaker Trump terrorized our Capitol; CPAC Chairman Matt Schlapp groped a man’s genitals; CPAC is the Hard A** Criminals Hall of Fame,” she wrote.
She also referred to Boebert as “bobo the clown” in another tweet, calling her and the spectators cheering her “equally repugnant.”
Li is a well-known centre-left firefighter and has in the past caused outrage on both sides with her comments.
She was forced to resign as treasurer of the Pennsylvania Young Democrats over critical comments about Biden rival and Vermont senator Bernie Sanders.
Li claimed at one point that she would not have voted for Sanders had he been the 2020 candidate, saying she was “equally frightened and traumatized by the prospect of a Sanders presidency.”

Li also referred to Lauren Boebert (pictured) as “bobo the clown” in another tweet, calling her and the onlookers cheering her “equally repulsive.”

Li repeated the allegation that Congressman Jim Jordan of Ohio “hid sexual crimes” while a wrestling coach at Ohio State University

According to the book All the President’s Women: Donald Trump and the Making of a Predator, at least 26 women have accused former President Trump of unwanted sexual assault.
His campaign nearly derailed in 2020 when a tape leaked of him telling Access Hollywood star Billy Bush that it “grabs women by the p***y.”
Trump labeled it “locker room talk” and denied all allegations of sexual assault and harassment.
Famed columnist E. Jean Carroll is currently suing the president for defamation over claims he made publicly about her after she came forward with her allegations that Trump raped her in the fitting room of the Bergdorf-Goodman department store in the mid-1990s in Manhattan.
Trump said the meeting with Carroll at the Manhattan luxury department store never happened. She says the couple’s interaction started when she helped him pick out some lingerie for a friend.
