Donald Trump criticized the performance of his political rival Kamala Harris during his first interview on Fox News.
The dramatic meeting lasted nearly 30 minutes as Baier and the vice president argued over the administration’s immigration policies, inmate sex changes and other hot-button issues.
Baier attempted to press Harris on a number of key issues, but the vice president protested that he needed to let her finish her answers to questions.
Meanwhile, he criticized Donald Trump for being totally “unfit to serve” as president for a second term because he is “dangerous.”
Trump congratulated Fox News host Bret Baier for his “tough but very fair interview” before attacking Harris’ jab.
He wrote on X and his social media site Truth Social: “Great job by Bret Baier on his interview with liar Kamala Harris.” He has a massive, hopeless case of TRUMP DISORDER SYNDROME.
He added that Baier’s interview “clearly showed how totally incompetent Kamala is” and insisted that her “inferior cognitive ability must be proven.”

The former president’s praise for Baier comes after MAGA social media users speculated that Fox would edit the Democratic presidential candidate favorably.

A flurry of criticism arose after one X user said it was “concerning” that the interview with Baier had been pre-recorded and not live.
They also urged the host to reject Harris if she tried to deviate from difficult questions.
But the host responded by saying the interview would not be edited after pre-recording immediately before the 6 p.m. broadcast time.
“It will be performed live, in its entirety,” Baier assured. “It’s recorded because they gave us an hour right before my show.”
“We intend to run it uninterrupted and without editing,” he added.
The interview lasted less than 30 minutes after Baier revealed some difficult details about her interview, including that she was late for their meeting.
Baier said members of Harris’ campaign waved their arms frantically as they pushed to end the pre-recorded interview.
The vice president’s team also tried to shorten the time allotted for the interview, the host said during an on-air conversation about his talk after it aired.
Baier suggested that it was as if the vice president’s team was trying to “freeze the kicker,” comparing it to a football team calling a timeout before a big field goal attempt.

“We were supposed to start at 5:00 p.m., that was the time they gave us,” Baier explained of his interview with the Democratic presidential candidate.
‘Originally we were going to do 25 or 30 minutes, they came and said ‘maybe 20’. So it was already shrinking.”
