Trump furiously launches a new barrage of claims that his campaign was “spied” by the Obama administration

President Donald Trump launched a new salvo round with the Obama administration on Wednesday morning, claiming it had been “ spied on ” during his 2016 presidential campaign.

His litany of complaints came as the coronavirus death toll in the United States approached 100,000.

New newspapers make it clear that the Obama administration is unprecedentedly SPIED on the Trump campaign and beyond, and even on the United States Senate. No one could have ever believed that this level of illegality and corruption would occur in our beautiful US! He wrote on Twitter.

“OBAMAGATE MAKES WATERGATE LOOK LIKE SMALL POTATOES!” He added.

President Donald Trump launched another round of salvage with the Obama administration, claiming it was “spied” during his 2016 presidential campaign

President Trump has pushed an “Obamagate” conspiracy theory that then President Barack Obama spied on his campaign and tried to prevent him from being elected; during the 2016 elections, the FBI followed Trump’s campaign to see if officials were plotting with Russian agents who were trying to influence the game

It is unclear to which new documents the President is referring.

In one of his last acts as Acting Director of the National Intelligence Service, Richard Grenell released more documents related to the origins of the Russian investigation into Trump.

A senior intelligence official told it Fox news the documents were “very important in understanding how intelligence was manipulated to support the start of the Russia investigation.”

But the decision on the release of those documents will be made by Grenell’s successor, John Ratcliffe, who was sworn in at a ceremony at the Oval Office on Wednesday morning.

During his short time at DNI, Grenell released several documents that fueled the ‘Obamagate’ conspiracy theory, including an email from Susan Rice, who was Barack Obama’s national security adviser, expressing concern about her successor in that position, Michael Flynn, revealed.

Rice sent himself the email on President Trump’s inauguration day and documented an Oval Office meeting on January 5, 2017 with President Obama and others, in which Obama gave advice on how law enforcement should investigate Russian interference in the 2016 presidential race.

The email released revealed that then-FBI Director James Comey suggested to Obama that the National Security Council may not want to pass “sensitive information related to Russia” to Flynn because he had “often spoken” with then-Russian ambassador with the US Sergey Kislyak.

Grenell also declassified documents showing Obama government officials asked to “unmask” Flynn, which is when an anonymous name is revealed in an intelligence report. That list included Joe Biden, the suspected Democratic presidential candidate.

Unmasking is a common practice used by officials to help them better understand intelligence reports. This is not illegal.

The latest round of documents released by Grenell is also said to include transcripts of calls Flynn had with Russian officials.

Flynn’s phone calls to Kislyak were picked up by U.S. intelligence interceptions during the transition process and became part of the Russian probe.

Trump said on Tuesday that he would like to see the transcripts of Flynn’s phone call with Kislyak.

“Yes, I’d like to hear it too,” he said.

Flynn would later be guilty of lying to the FBI about his secret contacts with Russia – although the Justice Department made the extraordinary decision to drop the case. A federal judge is awaiting documents from the “friend of the court” regarding the controversial case.

President Trump – as part of his “Obamagate” conspiracy theory – has accused former President Barack Obama of “spying” on his 2016 campaign. The FBI conducted a counter-spy investigation of Trump’s campaign to see if anyone in that attempt, consciously or unconsciously, coordinated with Russian officials who were trying to influence the election.

He has confiscated the documents released by Grenell and praised his former ambassador to Germany for his work.

“I think Ric Grenell did a fantastic job,” Trump said Tuesday. And things are happening now – I always knew this was the answer. This was a coup attempt by a bunch of dirty agents and others. ‘

Trump’s concern over a “deep state” that worked against him eventually led to his resignation – then-FBI director James Comey – a move that would result in Robert Mueller’s appointment as special prosecutor.

Muller eventually cleared the Trump campaign of any collusion with Russian officials during the 2016 campaign, but left open the question of whether Trump was trying to hinder Mueller’s investigation.

President Trump has been invested in the theory that there is a “ deep state ” at work in the government bureaucracy – notably the Justice Department – that tried to dissuade him from winning the 2016 election and then fired him.

In an interview with Sheryl Attkisson on Sunday, he slammed some of the officials he accused of being part of such an effort, most notably Comey, who once again called Trump a “dirty cop”; and former FBI agents Lisa Page and Peter Strzok, who exchanged anti-Trump texts during the 2016 elections.

“I have a chance to break through the deep state. It is a vicious group of people. It is very bad for our country, “Trump said in the interview.

“They never thought I would win and then I won. And then they tried to get me out, ”he added.

But his conspiracy theory has not yet come true. No arrests have been made, and internal investigations by the Department of Justice have found no evidence of a wrongful act by any person on Trump’s list.

And Attorney General William Barr said earlier this month that he does not expect a Justice Department investigation that will investigate the origin of the investigation into Russian investigations to lead to criminal investigations by Obama or Biden.

“There is a difference between abuse of power and federal crime. Not every abuse of power – no matter how outrageous – is necessarily a federal crime, ‘said Barr.
