Helaas Unfortunately for the United States, guys like him, (former FBI director James) Comey, and the even more stupid (former CIA director) John Brennan, have no idea. They really put our country back. & # 39;

Trump added: "but now we are moving forward like never before. We win again and we are respected again! "

The president seemed to respond to a quote from Clapper, the director of national intelligence under Barack Obama.

On Friday, the president tweeted a photo of what he thought was a "catastrophic accident" that took place during the launch of an Iranian rocket.

The image shows a launch site that has been damaged by an explosion.

But the tweet raised eyebrows because Iran had not acknowledged that an accident was taking place nor blamed the United States The New York Times.

"The United States of America was not involved in the catastrophic accident during the final preparations for the launch of the Safir SLV Launch on Semnan Launch Site One in Iran," tweeted the president.

"I wish Iran the best of luck and good luck in determining what happened on Site One."

Trump has been accused by Democrats and some experts of harming national security interests by tweeting a photo that appears to be showing satellite images obtained by US intelligence agencies.

The high-resolution image shows what looks like a flash from a camera of a cell phone, suggesting that the president may have taken a photo of the image during a classified security briefing.

When asked about the tweet, Clapper was quoted by the New York Times as follows: "You can bet that every opponent goes to school about what has been uncovered.

"I can't see what the point was, except to fool the Iranians."

Trump told reporters Friday that he was an & # 39; absolutely right & # 39; had to release a high-resolution image of a failed Iranian rocket launch, after he needed Iran on Twitter by taking a photo of it.

& # 39; I just wish Iran the best. They had a big problem, and we had a photo and I released it, which I was allowed to do, & Trump told reporters when he left the White House for camp David.

His comment seemed to acknowledge that the image he tweeted while shouting Iran about the failure was an image produced by the government.

CNBC reported Friday that a Defense official said that the image shared by Trump seemed to be an image of a physical image provided as part of an information briefing on Friday. It was a very accurate aerial photo that tagged parts of the launch site where an Iranian rocket exploded before a planned satellite launch.

& # 39; They had a major accident, which is a shame, & # 39; said Trump. & # 39; As you know, they would fire a large rocket and that didn't work out well. Had nothing to do with us, & he said.

It is unclear why the president reported Saturday Brennan and Comey, the man who fired Trump as FBI director.

Neither of them has responded publicly to the Iran tweet.

Comey, Brennan and Clapper, who all served the Obama administration, are fiercely critical of Trump.

On Thursday, Trump's Justice Department announced it would not prosecute Comey, although an internal investigation showed that he had violated DOJ regulations by leaking information to the press.

The Ministry of Justice's Office of Inspector General said that Comey had asked a friend to share the contents of a memo with the New York Times to pressurize the department to start an independent investigation into his talks with Trump .

In the memo, Comey described a meeting in which Trump reportedly asked him to drop the FBI investigation into Michael Flynn, who was his national security adviser at the time.

Flynn has since been found guilty of lying to the FBI about his talks with Russian officials.

Comey signed an investigation into the possible ties of the Trump campaign with Russia during the 2016 elections and later emerged as a prominent critic of the president after Trump fired him in May 2017.

Trump and many of his allies say the investigation should never have started.

The Ministry of Justice has appointed a special counselor, Robert Mueller, to handle the investigation after Comey left.

That probe revealed numerous contacts between the campaign and Russian officials, but concluded that there was insufficient evidence to establish a criminal conspiracy.

The Inspector General said Thursday that although Comey's memo contained no classified material, he set a dangerous example when he shared sensitive information to exert public pressure for official action.

"If current or former FBI employees followed the example of the former director and revealed sensitive information for their own strong personal beliefs, the FBI would not be able to properly send its law enforcement duties," the report said.

Comey said on Twitter that people who have accused him of sharing confidential information should apologize.

& # 39; To all those who have talked about me for two years & # 39; go to jail & # 39; or an & # 39; liar and a leaker & # 39; are – ask yourself why you still trust people who have given you bad information for so long, including the president, & # 39; he said.

Trump said Thursday: "Perhaps in the history of our country, someone has never been more disgraced and outraged than James Comey in the just-released report from the Inspector General. He should be ashamed! & # 39;

White House spokeswoman Stephanie Grisham called Comey a "liar and a liar" and said his decision to share information with the press led to an "unfounded, politically motivated, two-year witch hunt."
