Judd Trump needs just two more frames to reach the Shanghai Masters final after taking an 8-1 lead over Ronnie O’Sullivan in the semi-final.
World number two and 2019 world champion Trump made three consecutive century breaks, as well as a 91, 82 and 71, winning six frames in a row to end the session.
O’Sullivan, a seven-time world champion, has won the previous four Shanghai Masters.
Play will resume at 12:30pm BST.
The winner will face fellow Englishman Shaun Murphy in Sunday’s final.
