He endured a few tumultuous years, including a restraining order filed against him by his Backstreet Boys star brother Nick.
But Aaron Carter has credited an unusual source of inspiration for getting through those dark times: Thor star Chris Hemsworth.
While it’s unlikely they ever met, the former heartthrob thanked the Australian actor for helping us get through “some debacles” and “family stuff” in an interview with Today Extra on Wednesday.

Speaking of the cast of the Avengers movies, Aaron stated that “these guys became my superheroes.”

Carter’s “family thing” likely refers to his estrangement from pop singer brother Nick and sister Angel in 2019.
On September 17, 2019, Nick and Angel shared a tweet claiming they had filed a restraining order against Aaron.
In the tweet, Nick claimed Aaron admitted to “having thoughts and intentions to kill my pregnant wife and unborn child.”
Aaron then refuted the claim.

Aaron also spoke about his upcoming Celebrity Boxing match with Lamar Odom, which takes place later this month.
Claiming the former NBA star “underestimates” him, predicting that “the bigger they are, the harder they fall.”
Meanwhile, Lamar made his own prognosis last month, vowing to take out Carter early in their upcoming Celebrity Boxing match.
The 41-year-old athlete/reality star, in conversation with TMZ, claimed that the match will not last more than one round because he has been training diligently for the June 11 competition at Atlantic City’s Showboat Casino.
“It won’t be a fight, it won’t be a fight,” he said, adding that he would knock out the performer in “the first minute” of the competition.

New York native, The Queens alluded to his late friend Kobe Bryant, and his relentless work ethic, in how he progresses every day.
“Family, my kids,” Khloe Kardashian’s ex-husband said, the outlet reported. ‘That’s why I’m alive. I’m just sharing my Mamba Mentality moment. That is the quest to be the best version of myself. Looking for that.’

Aaron faced Lamar – who had been highly favored by the oddsmakers in the fight – in Philadelphia last month for a press conference about the upcoming fight.
The celeb contestants posed in hype of the clash with promoter Damon Feldman, who told the outlet that the match “would turn into a war” as both Odom and Carter “broke their a**es in the gym” before the face-off.
Aaron, who worked with trainer Xavier “Bad Pads” Biggs prior to the event, said earlier this year that he and his fiancée Melanie Martin are expecting a baby.
