Leading Australian comedian Jim Jeffries has received some savage spray from Triple M breakfast host Marty Sheargold.
The controversial Melbourne radio star slammed the popular presenter of Seven’s The 1% Club after he failed to show up for an interview on Monday.
Jefferies, 47, who lives in the US, was supposed to appear by phone in the pre-recorded portion to promote a draw for the Australian leg of his latest stand-up show.
“Get your fingers out of your ar*e and do your job, that’s what you’re here for,” Sheargold angrily told listeners.
‘Sell tickets to your own show. It’s not my responsibility to sell you tickets, you idiot!’

Sheargold then announced that he would not be doing any draws for the Jefferies shows.
Triple M is presenting Jefferies’ tour Down Under and the station debuted new interviews with the comedian to promote the shows on Monday.
According News.comJefferies missed Sheargold’s show because the breakfast show’s producers didn’t realize the comedian was ready and waiting to record his advert.

Known for his bold humor, Jefferies (real name Geoff James Nugent) has spoken out against a backlash against comedians.
The comedian, whose stand-up routines have caused controversy in the past, has previously said that he has made so many problematic jokes that he is proof of canceling them.
Triple M is presenting Jefferies’ tour Down Under and the station debuted new interviews with the comedian to promote the shows on Monday.
“It’s very difficult to cancel someone who has 40, 50 stupid things they said that they could have been canceled for,” he said. The Daily Telegraph.
He also noted the distinction between haters who actively seek to cancel public figures and their many genuine fans, who enjoy their brand of comedy.
“You can’t live your life worrying like that, and let’s face it: You’re only canceled for the people who want to cancel you,” he explained.

The outspoken TV star has called the United States home for more than 10 years.
They kick off their Give Em What They Want tour in the US on May 10 before heading to Australia in August.
