Leading Australian comedian Jim Jeffries has received some savage spray from Triple M breakfast host Marty Sheargold.

The controversial Melbourne radio star slammed the popular presenter of Seven’s The 1% Club after he failed to show up for an interview on Monday.

Jefferies, 47, who lives in the US, was supposed to appear by phone in the pre-recorded portion to promote a draw for the Australian leg of his latest stand-up show.

“Get your fingers out of your ar*e and do your job, that’s what you’re here for,” Sheargold angrily told listeners.

Known for his bold humor, Jefferies (real name Geoff James Nugent) has spoken out against a backlash against comedians.

The comedian, whose stand-up routines have caused controversy in the past, has previously said that he has made so many problematic jokes that he is proof of canceling them.
