The daughters of What Not To Wear stars Trinny Woodall and Susannah Constantine have revealed they think their mothers “would be canceled now”.
Susannah’s daughter Esme Bertelsen, 23, and Trinny’s daughter Lyla Elichaoff, 21, will be the cover stars of Tatler’s December issue.
Style gurus Trinny, 60, and Susannah, 62, teamed up in the early 90s to write a fashion column for The Telegraph before building a lasting reputation as a TV duo.
They were known for their scathing comments about each other, specifically about Susannah’s “chicken arms” or Trinny’s “flat chest.”
But making their own joint media appearance, Esme and Lyla joked that their mothers would probably be “cancelled” now because of the way they spoke to each other.

Esme and Lyla, who have been dubbed queens of the London scene, have been friends for most of their lives through their mothers.
“I think they would be canceled if the show was made now,” Lyla said.
“You can’t talk to people like that anymore and say things like, ‘You’re so ugly.'”
Lyla, whose father is Danish businessman Sten Bertelsen, studies communication and digital media at IE University in Madrid, while Esme graduated in art history at Bristol.
Lyla’s father, Johnny Elichaoff, a former Stark Naked and Car Thieves drummer turned financial advisor, committed suicide in 2014 when she was 11.
While the duo grew up in the London fashion scene, Lyla and Esme admitted they had never seen What Not To Wear or Trinny & Susannah Undress.
When asked if they were fans of the show, they both responded simultaneously, “I’ve never actually seen it.”
But they do remember some of their time on sets, as Esme said: “I remember going to places like Poland or Sweden and doing European tours.

Lyla added: ‘I was like six or seven years old. It was in some country in Europe, but I don’t remember which one.
“This woman wanted to look like Hannah Montana, and no one knew who she was besides me, so I had to help.”
Their mothers have also gifted them with some of their iconic fashion pieces over the years.
Esme revealed that her mother had given her a pair of snakeskin heels, a chiffon Prada dress, a multi-coloured Missoni long coat and silver and gold Miu Miu heels.
Meanwhile, Lyla got a green and black Prada dress to wear to her 18th birthday party.
Esme confessed that her mother gave her “free rein” to wear whatever she wanted.
“I was never allowed to wear ripped jeans,” Lyla added. ‘I think it’s good to let your kids develop their own fads and make really big mistakes.

The fashionista, 60, looked sensational as she graced the red carpet in a metallic silver illusion dress with ruffled padded sleeves.
At her side was her daughter Lyla, who turned heads in a blue and green sequin dress.

Susannah looked stylish in a white jacket and matching top, flared jeans and boots, and finished off the look with a metallic-embellished brown belt.
Meanwhile, Esme was the spitting image of her famous mother as she sported a shiny snakeskin bomber jacket and paired a blouse in the same shade while keeping it casual in denim and white sneakers.
