Tributes are pouring in for Takeoff after the Migos rapper was shot dead Tuesday “over a game of dice” in front of his uncle and bandmate Quavo outside a Texas bowling alley.
The 28-year-old, who is a member of the hip-hop trio, was gunned down at a “private party” when a group gathered outside the 810 Billiards & Bowling Houston at 2:30 a.m.
Houston Police Department confirmed that one person was found dead at the scene at 1200 Polk, but could not confirm the identity of the deceased.

But footage of the scene reportedly shows the rapper lying dead in a pool of blood after being “shot in the head” during the altercation.
The shooting came hours after he posted an Instagram story in which he wore the same outfit.
As news of the shooting spread, friends and admirers of Takeoff, real name Kirshnik Khari Ball, took to Twitter to pay tribute.
British rapper AJ Tracey paid tribute, writing: ‘not takeoff! REST IN PEACE’.
Singer and actress Keri Hilson wrote: ‘Rest in peace, @1YoungTakeoff. Healing love for your brothers, family and friends. #gonetoooon’.

YouTuber and Twitch streamer Adin Ross wrote: ‘Rest in peace to take off, I just spoke to him too…I’m in shock right now, can’t believe it. I pray to god it’s fake. This shit just isn’t fair bro wtf’.

Fellow rapper Russ tweeted “rip takeoff” followed by a prayer emoji, while YouTuber Nikita Dragun tweeted a photo of Takeoff.
Radio host Darvio Morrow said: “When I was a kid, getting shot at Tupac and Biggie was a big deal. You didn’t see such big stars being shot. Now it happens like every other month. I’ve never seen so many great artists killed like this. And about a dice game?!? Pointless. RIP Take off.’
Author Frederick Joseph wrote: ‘I want to see more black men with gray hair. Getting older and wiser. I am heartbroken at the continued need for us to post “Rest in Peace” because violence has taken another away from us. But here we are, sleep well, Takeoff.’
US Representative Jamaal Bowman said, “Sending love to Takeoff’s loved ones. I’m tired of seeing young black men die.’
Officers confirmed 40 to 50 people were at the scene when they found a man with a gunshot wound to the head or neck.
Two other victims were also rushed to hospital in a private vehicle, and their condition is unclear.
Takeoff had joined his uncle Quavo for a game of dice before the shooting, witnesses and law enforcement sources told TMZ.
Horrific footage of the scene shows Takeoff lying on the ground while Quavo runs towards him.
A group began to gather around the injured rapper and tried to move him, but quickly lowered him to the ground when Quavo yelled for help.

Video of the incident shows several women yelling to “come in,” while another man may say, “I’m scared for you bro.”
Migos was founded in 2008 by Takeoff with his uncle Quavo and cousin Offset – who is married to Cardi B.
Offset, who was not in Houston with his father and cousin, celebrated Halloween with Cardi B and their children.
Four hours before the shooting, Takeoff posted a photo of himself smoking in the bowling alley.
Quavo had also posted an Instagram story of him driving around Houston with Jas Prince, who was celebrating his birthday.

Earlier this month, Takeoff and Quavo joined forces in their debut duo with their album ‘Only Built for Infinity Links.

Instead, Takeoff and Quavo released “Only Built for Infinity Links,” with no third member Offset.
While all three artists have previously released albums as solo artists during their time together, some fans believe there is friction between the hitmakers.
The group’s 2018 Migos album Culture II debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 albums chart.

This was their second No. 1 album in the US, after Culture, which included their hit Bad And Boujee.
The family bond is strong within Migos, as Quavo and Offset are cousins, while Takeoff is Quavo’s nephew.
The group released their first mixtape, Juug Season, in 2011, and a second called No Label in 2012.
In 2013, Migos had their first hit, Versace. While the single peaked at number 99 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, it was given a new lease of life when Drake remixed the song and added a verse of his own, going so far as to perform it at the iHeartRadio Music Festival that year.
In June of that year, Migos released their YRN mixtape, which featured Versace. The following year, the group released a sequel to their No Label mixtape called No Label II.
The mixtape was a huge hit, having been downloaded nearly a million times and certified double platinum by DatPiff.
The group, which has earned two Grammy nominations, released its first album, Yung Rich Nation, in June 2015, which peaked at number 3 on Billboard’s Top Rap Albums chart.
