Travis Kelce's horse Swift Delivery was the betting favorite to win in Toronto on Saturday.

A racehorse named Swift Delivery, purchased by three-time Super Bowl-winning Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, finished second in his last start.

Swift Delivery, who started as the 1.500 odds favourite, was beaten in the $125,000 Toronto Cup Stakes at Woodbine on Saturday. He paid $2.50 and $2.10 as his two-race winning streak ended.

Swift Delivery was last in the field of six at the start of the one-mile race on the EP Taylor turf course.

Under Patrick Husbands, the three-year-old gelding made a move to the outside but was unable to get past eventual winner Piper’s Factor. The 7-1 bet paid $16.60 to win.

Team Valor International founder and CEO Barry Irwin said Swift Delivery is not named after a pop superstar Taylor Swiftwhom Kelce has been dating. Kelce attended the Kentucky Derby in May with the Zoldan family, who also acquired a “significant stake” in Swift Delivery alongside the NFL star, last week.

The horse is also owned by Gary Barber, a South African-born American film producer who was chairman and CEO of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer and co-founder of Spyglass Entertainment.

Bruce Zoldan is the founder and CEO of Phantom Fireworks, North America’s largest fireworks retailer. His son, Alex, is a close friend of Kelce’s.

Swift Delivery won his first race for Team Valor and Barber in an allowance race in July at Woodbine. The horse is also sponsored by Taylor Made.

Last week, Amazon announced Kelce’s nine-figure podcast deal with his brother, Jason, worth $100 million.

“We love this show and the fan base that has grown with us over the past two seasons. Wondery understands the shared vision and will offer a wealth of experience and resources to take us to new heights.”

“We are going to create some groundbreaking moments together through this partnership.”
