Ed Kelce revealed that he was banned for life from X due to a post that violated the site’s rules, despite claiming that his account was hacked.
Kelce, the father of famous NFL brothers Travis and Jason, shocked fans when he announced on Facebook this weekend that he is suspended from the online platform formerly known as Twitter.
He shared a news story claiming Houthi arms dealers are using X to sell weapons and wrote: ‘Arms dealers are free to sell their products on X but I am banned for life and they don’t say why, just a generic ‘Terms of Service’ violation.’
Following that revelation, Ed has now spoken out about the reason behind his ban from X in a new Facebook post, in which he slams the “social media trash” behind it.
“Let me try to clarify something. I rarely go on Facebook or Instagram. I get Google alerts in my email about articles that mention the boys and I post them remotely on Facebook for my friends and family to see,” she said.
Ed Kelce (pictured with his son Travis’ girlfriend Taylor Swift) revealed he was banned for life from X due to a post that violated the site’s rules.
‘I posted about active arms dealers on X because, frankly, I was pissed off at Elon’s trolls. I rarely wrote anything on X; I only followed sportswriters. It’s helpful during games to hear what those guys have to say, particularly in stadiums where there aren’t commentators like there are on TV.
‘I was active on X/Twitter from September to February, reading other people’s posts. Apparently, X Twits users think I posted something against their rules in May or June 2023. It never happened. I guess I was hacked, as the platform is not that secure.
“My comments when I started this conversation were simply to highlight the hypocrisy of these social media morons.”
Ed, along with the rest of the Kelce family, has had a meteoric rise in fame after Kansas City Chiefs star Travis began dating Taylor Swift last September.
The Kelce brothers joked on their New Heights podcast about feeling nervous about their father speaking to Swift at a Chiefs game last October against the Denver Broncos.

He claims to have been hacked when the post was made that violated X’s rules.
“Papa Kelce in the spotlight. If you were watching the game, you saw something momentous happen,” Jason said.
“It’s momentous,” Travis added, before Jason continued, “I shouldn’t be talking to Taylor Swift.”
“If you see Dad talking to someone and you can’t hear what’s going on, who knows where that conversation is going.”
Travis continued: “You know Dad like I know him. This is a scary conversation. I felt terrible for Taylor for being involved in this.”
