Ravens cornerback Marlon Humphrey attacked Travis Kelce before Thursday's NFL game

Baltimore Ravens cornerback Marlon Humphrey took a swipe at Travis Kelce on his Punch Line podcast and claims Taylor Swift’s influence is the reason he struck a $100 million deal with Amazon for New Heights.

Humphrey and the Ravens will face Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday night at Arrowhead Stadium in a massive matchup to kick off the new NFL season.

And Humphrey is relishing the opportunity to inflict a defeat on the Super Bowl winners amid Kelce’s dominance in podcasting due to the growing success of New Heights.

Talking to his co-host Jack Settleman on the game, Humphrey said: ‘I pray for this: to go against him because he’s tried to take everything away from me.

‘He tried to take everything away from me. He needs to pay. He needs to pay for what he’s done to the podcast space. How he’s tried to take us away.

“And honestly, it’s not okay. I don’t care who she’s dating. Did they get engaged? I don’t care who she’s dating.”

Humphrey then pointed to the recent $100 million deal with New Heights that Travis and his brother Jason signed to continue their podcast ahead of the new season.

“On Sept. 6, it’s going to be pod versus pod,” Humphrey said, seemingly confused about when his team will play the Chiefs, which will be played Sept. 5. “We’ll see which heights are higher. Yeah.”

Though he seemed angry when he attacked Kelce at first, Humphrey seemed to calm down the more he spoke and adopted a more cheerful tone as the conversation progressed.

However, he suggested that Taylor Swift’s influence was behind the lucrative podcast deal the Kelce brothers struck.

“Maybe if we beat him, Amazon will give us the deal,” Settleman said. “Would you talk bad about him and say Taylor’s music is trash? Do you think people have criticized Taylor’s music on the pitch?”

“People talk a lot of rubbish,” she said. “But he’s a great guy, but it’s football rubbish. What can you really say[about Taylor Swift]?

“He might start laughing. If he laughed, I’d laugh too. ‘I was just kidding, bro! You wanna come on the show and be a guest? Bring Taylor.’ That would get us points.”

Settleman questioned whether Swift would be releasing her podcast, saying, “She hasn’t been on her podcast! That has to be in the Amazon deal.”

Humphrey agreed, saying, “That has to be in the Amazon deal. It has to be. Screw them. Unless she wants to get into the business for real.”

Last year, Kelce and the Chiefs defeated the Ravens 17-10 in Baltimore to win the AFC Championship and reach the Super Bowl, where they defeated the San Francisco 49ers.

Kelce and the Chiefs have a chance to make history this season: They could become the first team in NFL history to win three consecutive Super Bowl titles.

Earlier Tuesday, Kelce insisted his off-field fame is not a distraction ahead of the new season.

“I love football. It takes me away from life and gives me something to be really happy about,” he said.

‘I enjoy coming into the building and working on my craft, understanding a new game plan and honing it with the people around me. It gives me a purpose to go about my day and live my life.

“I’m so excited about doing it that it’s going to be hard for me to know when to quit or not.”
