Travis Kelce said he felt 22 after starring again for the Chiefs vs Texans

Travis Kelce tipped his hat to his girlfriend Taylor Swift after an outstanding performance led his Kansas City Chiefs team to a 23-14 victory over the Houston Texans on Saturday.

Kelce scored a touchdown and recorded seven receptions for 117 yards in an excellent performance against the tight end that signaled his return to top form at the crucial stage of the season.

After the game, 35-year-old Kelce arrived talked about how crucial was the bye week for the Chiefs, allowing him to rest last weekend while most other teams played.

When asked if he felt like he was 25 again, Kelce referenced a hit single by his girlfriend when he replied, “22 baby, 22.”

He added, “Anytime you can get healthy late in the season and work on your body, I’ll always take it.

“You saw me do it last year, I’m always grateful for the hard work we put into it. 100 percent (I felt better). There’s nothing better than playoff football, especially here at Arrowhead.

‘The audience is always electric. But the feeling you get when you compete with the guys you work with all year is the most satisfying feeling.

“Once I have the ball in my hands, I feel like I’m a different player. But we are focused on the next task ahead.”

The Chiefs return next Sunday night, where they will play the winner of the Buffalo Bills and Baltimore Ravens for a spot in the Super Bowl.

Swift, meanwhile, was joined in the stands by Caitlin Clark as the duo sat in Kelce’s VIP suite to watch the game against the Texans.

The two seemed to enjoy every turn of a dramatic and tense game against the Texans.

Swift burst into joy when Kelce scored his touchdown and jumped up to hug Clark, who looked like she could hardly believe she was celebrating her team’s win with another of her idols.

Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes also paid tribute to Kelce on the field at Arrowhead moments after the win over the Texans was official.

“You know eight-seven would come up when there was a big moment, and he did,” Mahomes told ESPN’s Lisa Salters after the game.

“I mean, everyone was asking, ‘Where’s Travis Kelce?’ And I think he showed the world where he stands.”
