Travis Kelce made a surprise cameo on the 49th season premiere episode of Saturday Night Live during a skit that poked fun at his very public romance with Taylor Swift.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end, 34, sent the crowd into a frenzy when he suddenly appeared on the show — which was hosted by SNL alum Pete Davidson, 29, following the end of the WGA strike late last month.
The humorous sketch started as a Fox NFL pregame show on Sunday, with comedians Kenan Thompson, Mikey Day, James Austin Johnson, Molly Kearney and Devon Walker taking on the role of host – with Davidson later also appearing in the sketch.
The group was preparing for the game against the Philadelphia Eagles vs. the New York Jets. “It’s Week 7, and if any Taylor Swift fans are watching, the Chiefs game was on Thursday, you just missed her,” Thompson began.
The hosts laughed together, with Mikey’s character, Howie Long, saying, “Listen, sorry Swifties, this is a show about football.” It’s a sport. Ask your father.’

‘Okay okay. Let’s get on the game and stop whining about Taylor and her little friend,” Kenan added. But everyone else at the table suddenly let out little jerks, while also muttering, “Woah.”
‘Friend?’ Mikey Day asked. “Wait a minute, no one said boyfriend. Let’s not jump to conclusions here.’
James – who played Jimmy Johnson – added: ‘Yes, yes. They’re hanging out. They take their time and that’s fine with me.’
Kearney, who played Terry Bradshaw, said: “Jimmy, I really don’t agree. She hangs in the luxury box with mommy Kelsey and makes cocktails with Deadpool, people, they’re official,” referring to the Chiefs vs. Jets game in which Swift brought along her A-list friends, including Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds.
